Chris Brookes | 8 comments **** 25 test readers needed ****

Are you an avid reader of historial mysteries and intrigue? Would you be interested in assisting an English screenwriter/author as a test reader until Sept 2014?

The ask is simply to receive chapters as I write them and feedback on any inconsistencies, period authenticity, plot/character development and general comments i.e. your likes and dislikes, etc. I then take all feedback and work with my editors on final re-writes ahead of plannned publication in Sept 2014.

Test reading can be fun but equally can be quite tiresome, having to re-read passages/chapters and go through minor changes. Therefore, please only volunteer if my request truly appeals.

If you're interested in the challenge, then please either message me or drop me an email to: enquires@chrisbrookes.info

Many thanks
Chris

Jeanne (olympus) | 6 comments Chris, I'd love to assist you. Please check my book lists and let me know if you think I am up to the task based on my reading history. Though I'm a huge fan of historical British mysteries I just finished, and thoroughly enjoyed, Operation Mincemeat. Have you read it?

Chris Brookes | 8 comments Hi Jeanne,

Love to have you as a test reader. I'll message you direct, so please keep an eye out.

No, I haven't read Operation Mincement yet but it's there on our bookshelf for when I get the time to read. Regretably, this is becoming less and less nowadays, as I'm invariably writing to deadlines.

Best
Chris

Chris Brookes | 8 comments I just wanted to say a very big 'thank you' to all the test readers who participated in the project. We started with 35, admittedly we lost a few on the way but ended with 28, all of whom gave some brilliant and constructive critique as mystery readers.

I know many readers thoroughly enjoyed the experience and want to continue as I write book #3, which is great news.

Once more - Thank you.

Chris Brookes
