Will I now be swayed by the hype?

One of our library book club members reviewed this last month. she also mentioned the musical aspect as well as the poetry. she said it was outside her.comfort.zone but definitely worth it

TBH: I seem to be the odd one out on this. I really didn't enjoy it at all and struggled through. Barely any plot, little character development and I didn't think the musical world was that we'll created...just the occasional adjective swapped for a musical one. But glad others enjoyed it and she's getting some success

Well, all these for and against comments have made me curious so I have just placed a reserve at the library. It will be a wee while coming, so I guess I'll be reading more about before I get to actually readit. ☺

I'm still thinking it's not for me! But I am delighted to see a NZ book get the longlisting all the same!
