Let's talk about examples of historical figures in fiction that have been portrayed well... and also those who haven't?

Peter Leavell's book West for the Black Hills West for the Black Hills (Dakota Sunrise #1) by Peter Leavell is an example of a book that has some fun appearances by Teddy Roosevelt which is done very well.

Share your thoughts on books that got it right and also ones that missed the mark.

Kalena (bookt2) I got West for the Black Hills for my husband and he loved it so much that he finished it in one afternoon! It made a quick leap up in my TBR list after that.

Check out Nancy Moser and her Ladies of History series. I also really enjoy Tosca Lee, Tasha Alexander and Stephanie Landsem.
