As a help to Captains, I have made individual spreadsheets for each team (there are tabs at the bottom of the game spreadsheet). I will be filling them in for you so it will not be necessary for you to make a team spreadsheet unless you really want to :)Game Spreadsheet (there is also a link in post 2 for this)

Thanks, Jennifer.I am so excited to start. This will my third scavenger hunt (funnily, I have been on different colors each time.. Violet, Pink and now Red).
I love this challenge. :D
Here we go ladies, we have the green signal.Week 1
Group D ~ Juice
Bonus ~ Bottle
Group A ~
Group B ~
Group C ~
Now, which 3 other items do you think we should try for this week ? One from each group except D.
Here are my thoughts:Group A: Phone or alcoholic beverage
Group B: Brown, midnight, boss
Group C: Silly
Fifth Grave Past the LightDuty & Devotion
So far both of those work. I'll keep posting more that I find.
The object is to claim the item called, the bonus & one more item from the remaining groups. Since this weeks item is from Group D, you need to claim an extra item from Group A, B & C. A lot of teams try and coordinate the extra items so you can get points faster but you don't have to do that. I hope this explains some if you have any more questions or need me to clarify anything let me know. You might also want to pop over to the Aqua Angels thread and see how we are doing things :)
So, here's my planning post. I can change anything if necessary.
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
Group A: Vodka (alcoholic beverage)
Group B: Car (Automobile)
Group C: Silly
Group D: Juice
Bonus: Bottle
Megan wrote: "We're to find those words in the text, title, or on the cover, right?"Yes. It can be found in any of those three places and it will count.
But, we have to make sure that we have Juice and Bottle in our book. You can have any 3 other words (one from each of the other groups) to complete your set of 5 !
From my past experience, it is preferred for the team to choose the three words and claim them together, but thats not a must.
Megan I'm just trying to work with Stacie's words. See if you can find a book with those words. If you can't we can change it to something that works better for you. Like Apoorv said, it does work better if we all find the same 5 words.
Megan wrote: "I screwed up... the book I wanted to read was a tad too short per the length requirement. Freakin' stinks. But I'm searching now..."Okey doke. I have a couple of books planned this week that I can look for words in so I'm flexible.
So am I changing my words then? I will just have to change my book. It's best to get rid of the hardest words. And all the words will be used except for all the bonus words.
Heather, I defer to you and Apoorv because I haven't played before so whatever you suggest, I'm good with.
Stacie Mass D-Struction wrote: "Heather, I defer to you and Apoorv because I haven't played before so whatever you suggest, I'm good with."Well in the beginning its easier to pick words so as long as we all use the same five we'll be good. I went from your original picks, then switched my Group B word because Megan didn't have it. (Just giving you my train of thought) So, if you can find a book with these words, we will have a great starting point.
Group A: Vodka (alcoholic beverage)
Group B: Car (automobile)
Group C: Silly
Group D: Juice
Bonus: Bottle
I don't believe Apoorv ever picked the words. He said he could find a book with any of the words so he let us pick them and would basically roll in with his completed review at the end of the week with no problems! Lol
When we finish our book we have to write a small review and show each word in its sentence with its page number.

Yep! I've got a book that has all of those five.
Week One: JUICE & BOTTLE
BOOK: Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
FINISHED: August 8
RATING: 3*
REVIEW: I am a little disappointed with this book. I had hyped it up so much to myself that now I'm like, REALLY? I was bored at times. I never loved many of the characters. And the"culprit"? I guessed very early on. This is my first Gillian Flynn novel but I'm sure I'll still read another. Two out of her three books have been made into movies so they must be good!
WORDS:
Group A: Vodka (alcoholic beverage)- After I'd drank enough vodka from their stash. Pg. 37
Group B: Car (Automobile)- I leaned up against a parked car. Pg. 27
Group C: Silly- She would always say silly things. Pg. 97
Group D: Juice- You all in the kitchen drinking Orange juice. Pg. 157
Bonus: Bottle- He peeled the label off his empty beer bottle. Pg. 59
Book: Duty & Devotion

Review: It was great to get an update on Griffin and Jim and Evan and Matt but at times the plot line felt a bit forced. I enjoy the series but I don't love it the way many of my other friends do. That being said, I plan to continue reading the series to see if certain people get their head out of their asses!
Words:
Group A: VODKA: He should have asked her for vodka with his water p. 165
Group B: CAR: A car pulled into the driveway. p. 156
Group C: SILLY: Of course, silly p. 115
Group D: JUICE: A juice glass is fine. p. 33
BONUS: BOTTLE: Yeah, it came with the bottle opener. p. 33
I was looking at the other threads and think we should try to get the hardest words finished first. We definitely don't want only hard words left at the end! I can find a book with pretty much any words... So whoever, gets here first tomorrow should pick the words. We can change them around if necessary but it'll be a good starting point.
Week # 1Sorry ! Sorry ! Had finished the book long ago just didnt put my thoughts together (still havent).. just putting something together before our deadline.
Book Read : I Was Here | Gayle Forman | 09Aug2015
Rating : ★★★
Review
I'm sad to say that I had a tough time with I Was Here, and I feel very conflicted about it now that I'm finished. The two things I've read by Gayle Forman - her If I Stay duology - I adored beyond reason and, in the case of the former of the two, cried buckets. There is something very honest and raw about her writing style that I love. That hasn't changed with I Was Here - this is a very thought-provoking book about a girl whose best friend commits suicide and she has no idea why. It's a story that is unflinching and brave but also extremely stark. I didn't expect the direction it goes in, and so for a while there I really struggled with it. I felt myself becoming more and more distanced from the heart of the story. While it is certainly a well-written book, I never formed deep emotional attachments to Cody, Meg, and Ben like I wanted to. My eyes stayed surprisingly dry.

Review: Cute love story hidden amongst some hot hot smut (warning, menage alert early on). Parker and Lynn are adorable and I freaking loved Lynn's best friend Suz. The banter between the main characters was great and I did a little cheer when the bad guy got what was coming to him. Quick and fun read.
