Personality: Matthew is typically quiet and reserved. He has never been a fan of conflict even though he looks like the typical rebel. Matthew is easily pressured into doing things and has a hard time saying no.
The only time you ever see Matthew turn into something fierce is when people close to him get threatened. He is quick to defend the ones he cares about and will not hesitate to kill if he needs to.

History:
Blake grew up in an apartment in the Bronx. He was raised by his mother with an absentee and deadbeat father. His mother, Delvine, was only 16 when she had Blake. Their apartment was in a sketchy part of town and they always had to be careful, even when going outside to check the mail. When Blake was eight, him and his mother were walking back home from the park after having a playdate with a friend. It was dark and they knew that they should get home as fast as possible so they wouldn't attract trouble, especially since Delvine and the "sperm doner" used to have ties with some of the gangs in the area. A large white van pulled up beside them and grabbed Delvine and hit Blake over the head, knocking him out, and leaving him alone on the pavement.
Blake was put into foster care after being found on the streets almost two months later. He was sent from New York, to a family in Florida, where he heard the news about the police finding his mother's body in the Hudson.
For the next ten years, until Blake was 18, he was bounced around from house to house. He regularly got into trouble and had to go to Juvie on a couple different occasions. The day he turned 18, Blake enlisted in the Marine Corps.
