No offense meant but I don't agree about Nora. Most authors give the girls "unrealistic traits" if that makes sense. In reality I mean If you found out that your world had things such as fallen angles you wouldn't be Katniss in the situation. In reality you would be scared, and need comfort, like any other scared teenager...
Yeah, but it still kind of annoyed me, you know? She seemed to be so strong considering she went through those things... But maybe you're right. I was used to Katniss, Tris and Annabeth, who are brave and completely fearless.

I agree with Alisa, they give them characteristics that will make them more 'enjoyable' to the reader (different word than enjoyable can't put my finger on it just now)

The first reason: Nora. I didn't like her. Maybe I'm just comparing her to Katniss and Tris, who are extremely strong and almost completely fearless; they would face anything, anywhere, anyhow. But Nora would, whenever she got in trouble, call Patch. Or hide. Or panic. She was so weak, and judged herself as someone independent considering the fact she was (as far as I remember) an only child and she didn't have a father.
The second reason was Nora and Patch's romance, which was VERY cheesy. They just kissed and kissed and that was very annoying. I mean, Nora had to do something. At least for me, she had to be a bit stronger. She was just standing there, jumping into Patch's arms whenever she could, watching everyone do everything for her.
But a nice point of the book was the 'fallen angel' thing. Patch's personality was exactly how I thought a fallen angel would be, although he was a bit insensible about Nora sometimes.
I read the first and second books and didn't like them that much; I'm kind of stuck. Try not to spoil anything from them (if you have to , that's okay), but tell me your opinion! :D
