In chapter 21, when Raffe was talking about his companions and having someone watch his back, was he talking about humans that he met in the past or fellow angels? O__O

Anyone else is utterly creeped out by the twins? I understand Penryn having to deal with them in order to escape from the camp but otherwise I would have run the hell away from them. They're almost as creepy as her mom, and that' impressive considering she's not even actually around but just leaves eggs behind her.
I think they're super creepy too! And can we talk about the girls in the tree?! This book is so dark! I'm not used to YA being so twisted but I love it.
I actually liked the twins! Haha it was a very dark novel but that is what almost makes it stand out and when I was reading the part about the girls in the tree I thought they were alive at first until it described what happened to them and the man weeping underneath them
Oh wow, well I found twins to be actually... ver likeable :P I hope they won't turn out to be the bad ones, only help Penryn in future heh. That's actually not the first time in my life when I meet with this kind of darkness but I think that's the first time I read about it ;)
hmmmm is anyone here a fan of Cassandra Clare's books, because I'm just having hell great fun reading about nefilims beings cursed, evil creatures :P
I adore Cassandra Clare's books! I was laughing when they were talking about nephlin the two are so different from her books to this one
Also, I hope I'm not the only one who felt it, but Raffe is giving hints for Penryn all the time that she shouldn't fall in love with him... ohh idk :P
I totally ship raffe and penryn I understand it's forbidden but when she "died" and he got all mad and carried her out it was just so beautiful to see a more affectionate and human side of him
Ciara wrote: "In chapter 21, when Raffe was talking about his companions and having someone watch his back, was he talking about humans that he met in the past or fellow angels? O__O"oh I got a feeling that he was talking... Well first thought - humans. As someone wrote in earlier discussion, that he may be Raphael and he used to heal humans (?) then I assumed people in his past. And of course I felt like he was referring those words straight to Penryn - like she is watching his back now.
But of course I may be wrong, as I'm not reading it in original, just translation ;)

Or am I just forgetting something from what I have read heh

I'm a bit behind and just got to page 150 with the part about the girls in the trees... This book is a lot darker than I thought it was going to be. I'm starting to get really worried about Paige now...

WOAH, MAJOR SPOILERS! (But yes, it was nice to see that side of him)
