Terri suggested this and I thought it might be a fun way for members to get to meet each other. Just say what time it is where you are and what you are doing (or maybe it would be more interesting to say what were you doing before you sat down and started surfing GoodReads!).

I am in the Northeastern U.S., so it is almost 7 pm here (or 1900 if you like 24-hour time). I am in the middle of cooking dinner (things are simmering while I check in here).
Just having a cup of tea, after getting home from work. It's 5pm here.Tonight is my tai-chi class, so dinner will be quick and easy.
It's 1 o'clock in the night in the UK, and I can't sleep, which is where I should be now! Great idea, Terri! I do tai chi also, Petra.
It's 8:15pm here in the US midwest, and I'm just chilling out with my lovely collie Charlie snuggled up next to me. My hubbie is getting ready for bed (he gets up at 4:15), so when I'm done here I'll do some reading till I get tired. I have chronic pain due to some disabilities, so I really don't sleep much. Thank God for books and GR (and pain meds)! Night all you folks in the UK!
It's about 8:30pm here and I'm about to fold laundry. I just finished mopping the kitchen floor; and before the mop I helped with homework, gave baths, fixed dinner, and cleared counters. I'm exhausted! Yet, here I am...I must do something for ME at least once per day...
It's 7:40 Pm central time here in TN where I'm at and am about to go do my bible reading for my Church's bible reading challenge and general reading then go from there.
It's 7:30 am here in Italy and I'm going to do a math test of which I didn't understand very much. My day begins with a death sentence. :(
It's a quarter to seven in the morning in the UK, and I'm eating my breakfast before heading off to work. Good morning, all!
Good morning everyone wherever in the universe you may be. It's 7.20am and I just had breakfast (porridge and coffee) kids 15 and 13 will be going to school soon. I have an important meeting with my disability rights man at 1 in preparation for my tribunal next month.
Good morning to you Tracey and to everybody else on line now!
I'm at my boring office - it's 9.15 am in Italy now.
As usual I've little to do - so some time to saty here and chat. Today is what we call "long day": instead of finishing working at 2.00 pm we finish at 5.30. Umpf ...

It's 10am in the UK and I've just woken up. I'm on 3pm-10.30 shifts this week so I'm not actually that lazy!
Loving catching up with everybody - thank you Terri (and Leslie)!Good luck Tracey!
When I have caught up with things here I will go into Epping Forest with my lovely border collie (and husband) for a walk. It will be very sludgy and I hope there are no more trees down. Yesterday a lovely huge tree full of apple?cherry blossoms was just lying along the outside path, uprooted by a storm. But at least the sun is shining today at...10.20 am.
It's 10:51 in the UK and I am at work (well, actually having a cup of black coffee at the moment) hence why I am on here, but not for long, as too much to crack on with.
It is 11:08am, I'm only up half an hour although I had sleeping quite badly this week. I'm back in bed though to try and finish off my dissertation chapter to hand in when I go back to university on Friday.
It's 7:42 am and I am doing one of my favorite things - having my first cup of coffee and catching up on Goodreads.
I know Angela what you mean: I really hate this job of mine most of the time, but the fact that I have a pc and can go and start my morning with AAB and goodreads helps a lot!!!
At the moment is 2.00 p.m. and I'm about to start my break, as usual at the local swimming pool!!!

Good morning all! it's 10:13am here and I'm enjoying a cup of cinnamon hazelnut coffee and checking up on GR. My dog is curled up asleep--worn out after his morning romp. (Jean, what is your border collies' name? My son always has border collies, he helps rescue them.) Planning a lazy day. All my dinner prep is done so I'll have plenty of time to read today. Sorry for all you folks stuck in jobs you don't like! I used to have a career as an RN, but due to disability I haven't worked in many years. I do miss it--it was a great part of my identity. Happy Wednesday everyone!
Hi Terri! He's called "Blizzard" - the third of our three rescued border collies (good for your son! :) ) Blizzard is a longhaired white border collie with a tricolour "mask". He was a rescue who'd been in the rescue centre for 5 months, because of his dreadlocks! Before that he'd been in a dog pound as a stray, and when the rescue centre took him on he was on his very last day before being put to sleep. We named him almost immediately after we gave him his first bath...LOL
I'll try to remind myself how to upload a photo now.
It is 11:30 am here & I am avoiding my assigned reading for my course while I check in here :) A nice sunny day out but cold...Anastasia, hope that your math exam wasn't as bad as you anticipated!
Tracey - how annoying to get the meeting cancelled at the last minute like that!
Jean, a walk through Epping Forest with your dogs - it sounds great even if it is muddy!
Oh my it was revolting Leslie!! But sunny, at least :)Will your course books make it to your shelves? I should think we'd be interested in at least some of them (though maybe not the ones you're avoiding...)
Lorisha - I hope you are sitting down with a book by now.
Anastasia - hope your exam was easy-peasy :)
Amber - hope you can "call in" to say hello :)
And I have managed to upload 3 photos of Blizzard to my page :D
I'm in Lebanon. It's 7:15 pm. I wish I could say I'm doing something productive, but I'm just watching TV.
I'm in London and it's 5.30pm...supposed to be writing up essays before I got distracted on goodreads
It's almost Noon here in TN and earlier I had lunch of leftover Fish sticks, some cheesy poofs and an apple. Now just surfing the internet and will read/watch a movie later. I'm going to write later on too. PM me for what it is cuz I can't discuss anything further than that here in this group but only in a PM.
It's 6pm here in Wolverhampton. Just going to make a cuppa and after that will, surf the net a bit more then watch Emmerdale and Corrie!
It's 6:20pm or thereabouts in Lancashire, and I have just arrived home from work, having had to walk home with my bike, as I had a puncture :(What to have for tea?
Gill wrote: "I do tai chi also, Petra."Nice!! I just finished learning the last move of the "modified Wu" style (119 moves in all) a couple of weeks ago. I'm still wobbly, unsure and incorrect at times but I can make it through the entire routine. I'll keep getting stronger at it now.

Jean wrote: "When I have caught up with things here I will go into Epping Forest with my lovely border collie (and husband) for a walk. ..."This sounds lovely. Hope you had a nice walk.
Thanks Petra :) This thread is phenomenally successful Terri!!
I have now just finished the Bertrand Russell woop woop!! (Am I allowed to mention books? This one is a significant milestone for me :) )
8pm in the Peak District in England. My wife and I have just finished dinner (sausages) after a day of walking the three border collies, shopping (listening to a Pat Wentworth Miss Silver mystery while driving there and back), and some hedge and shrub and plum tree pruning (for me while Hilary made chicken casserole for the weekend). She's sitting by the coal fire reading a Peter Robinson crime novel, and I'm just finishing Cold Comfort Farm while keeping an eye on the Chelsea and Real Madrid Champions League matches. The three dogs, Millie, Lady, and Oreo are asleep at the moment. I've just downloaded 15 Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody books from Amazon/Kindle after someone in another thread noted they were £0.84 each.I'm 64 and retired, and my wife is 60 and semi-retired. We can recommend it!
It's 5:15 here and I've finished a 5K run through the neighbourhood. Ran by the library, so it ties into here. :DETA: John, I've read the first 3 Amelia Peabody books. She's so much fun. Have fun with your set of her books.
It's 8:17 pm central standard time in my little spot of TN and I'm about to go read different seasons by Stephen King, journal, get ready for bed, do my just dance 2014 40 minute dance workout then listen to my mp3 player and finish writing something for Friday ( PM me for details if you want to know.) Thanks. Saw the film Sanitarium earlier and it was a pretty good horror anthology film. I give it a 7/10 stars.
It's 7:30pm here in Wellington, New Zealand. I've just put down my book as I've got a game of social indoor soccer to play.
Thanks, Petra! I hope I didn't mess it up..Well, It's 7:40 am again, I'm going again to school by my noisy train, but I feel good, especially after three crepes for breakfast..(my stomach is hard to please!)

Still on your running schedule I see Petra! I'm glad!
It's again morning here in Italy, 9.00 am. Back to work in a really rainy day - it will be raining for at least 4/5 days, or so say the weather forecast...

Jean, Blizzard sounds amazing! Congratulations on finishing the Bertram Russel! (You're a much better woman than I am!)
It's a little after 10am here in Cincinnati. Sunny but pretty cold. I'm pretty much house-bound, so the weather doesn't mean that much to me. I do love thunderstorms and snowstorms, however, even though I know most people are sick of the snow this year. I just finished my morning play time with my puppy Charlie. (He's an 18 month old collie and weighs 63 pounds, so I know he's technically not a "puppy," but he'll always be my puppy.) He likes to sit on my lap and nuzzle my ears and give me sloppy kisses. Then we play ball or fetch the tire. He keeps me sane and is a true companion for me. Happy Thursday to all!
