Twilightstar peered into the Thunderclan territory and took a sniff. She thought she smelled a familiar scent. Her eyes widened as she looked around. Willowleaf sniffed the air and his behind a tree. He glanced around it to see Twilightstar and gasped. He ducked behind it again.
Twilightstar sniffed the air again. Willowleaf... She thought. "Is anyone there?!" She called. "Riverclan's leader and deputy are here. We need to speak with Thunderclan!"Willowleaf took a deep breath and walked around the tree. He stopped and looked at the she-cat. "Hello Twilightsong." He said.
Twilightstar felt her heart stop. "It's Twilightstar now." She said. "And hello Willowleaf." She looked at Shadowmist then back at the Tom.
Willowleaf approached Twilightstar slowly. "The leader, huh?" He asked. Twilightstar nodded. "We all knew it was going to be me." She said.
Willowleaf nodded. "I'm the deputy if Thunderclan. I hear you have important news." He said.
"The river is flooding and there are barely any fish. I can sense you have plenty if fresh kill in your forests. We have barley any." She said.
Willowleaf nodded. "I will tell my leader as soon as possible." He said and ran off.
Twilightstar watched him disappear before turning and running back.
Twilightstar shook her head. "He used to be in Riverclan." She said. Then she turned away and ran to camp.
Whisperkit looked around, sniffing. She had never been out before so she wasn't sure which way the river was. "Which way do you think it is?" She whispered to her brother.
Sniffing again, "I think I smell a fish! It stinks." She crinkled her nose and slunk off in the direction of the smell. "Hurry up slowpoke! We don't want to get caught."
"How do you know! We've never been outside!" She dashed after him, her long legs easily keeping stride with her brother. They were going to be large cats when they finally finished growing, unlike their tiny sister.
((We can swap to the riverbed whenever you want to arrive))

Foxkit sniffed the air. "The smell of fresh water!" He said and laughed. It was so fun running outside in the open. Being trapped in the nursery for so long made him feel so......weird.
"Do you hear that?" Whisperkit mewed, "It sounds like roaring!" She was really excited, and she really enjoyed being able to run as fast as she wanted to.
Foxkit's ears perked up and he ran faster. Then he came to a big, roaring river. His eyes widened. ((Cont. at river! Can you post first?))
Willowleaf ran out of camp and looked around. He didn't see Riverwhisp anywhere! He walked around and eventually heard a faint cry and the scent was familiar. He walked around and saw Riverwhisp sitting behind a tree, crying. He felt guilty and walked up to her. "Riverwhisp?" He asked in a soft voice.
Willowleaf stepped back. "I-I just wanted to say sorry." He said sadly and lowered his head. "But you clearly don't want me here." He added and turned away.
Willowlead hung his head low to the ground. "Would it make you feel better if I swore to never be mates with anyone until I felt the same way with you?" He asked seriously.
Willowlead shook his head. "I swear to you, Riverwhisp, that I will not accept another she-cats request for us to be mates. I will only be mates with you once I fall in love with you." He said and stood taller. "I swear on Starclan."
Willowleaf nodded. "Your very welcome." He said. Then a spark fluttered in his heart and he looked straight into Riverwhisp's eyes. "Starclan just told me something." He whispered.
Willowleaf smiled and nodded. "I just didn't recognize this feeling until now." He said. "May I ask you something?"
Roseclaw found a large tree with a low branch. Eagerly she leapt onto it and settled down, balancing easily as she sat. She took a long smell. "I've missed it out here." She mewed idly as she waited for Willowleaf to catch up.
Willowleaf walked into the forest and looked up at Roseclaw. He smiled and jumped up with her. He was a very sleek cat and jumped gracefully next to her.
Roseclaw watched Willowleaf jump up, admiring him before telling herself that she shouldn't look at him that way. "So tell me, what has you all confused?" Roseclaw mewed, curious if this was about Riverwhisp or her own crankiness earlier.
Willowleaf sighed. "They think you have to say yes." He said. "Then when you don't they go all psycho."
Roseclaw's whisker's twitched. Riverwhisp had said that Willowleaf had agreed, was that not true? "Well, most cats don't like their feelings being hurt. Even if it isn't your fault if you don't feel the same way. They feel betrayed." Roseclaw flicked her tail, "Did you know about how she felt before she told you?"
Willowleaf nodded. "I could tell." He said. "And there were rumors." He shook his head and closed his eyes.
"So you told her you didn't feel the same way?" Roseclaw asked, curious now. "Did she run off after that? What did you do?"
Willowleaf sighed. "I always want people to like me." He said. "So she asked if we could be mates. I said no then she ran off. I followed her and she got really mad. Because I want every cat to like me I accepted it." He jumped from the tree and onto the ground gracefully. "I don't know what I was thinking! I clearly like someone else."
Roseclaw's tail tip flicked. "She did come prancing into the nursery, saying you and her were mates now. She seemed really excited." Roseclaw wasn't about to admit that it had made her even grumpier at the she-cat. They'd have to make up sometime soon. "She's going to be more hurt if you tell her." She leaped out of the tree, landing softly. "What do you plan on doing?"
Willowleaf shrugged and sat down. "Tell her the truth." He said. "I need to tell her that we will not work out in the future. That she will be miserable with me."
"Be gentle." Roseclaw mewed. "I'm not sure how many other cats she told about this. She was over the moon." She stretched out her front legs and sat down, curling her tail around her paws.
"She's not going to like you for a while. You know this right?" Roseclaw mewed, a little stern. "You shouldn't have agreed to be with her if you liked someone else." Her expression softened, "It is a difficult situation. I'm sorry Willowleaf."
Willowleaf nodded and sighed. "I was going to ask you something. In the camp while we were talking about mates. I didn't get the chance." He looked back at Roseclaw with gleaming eyes.
Roseclaw flicked her tail tip, "Well you have a chance now, what is it?" She sounded puzzled, hoping he wasn't going to scold her for not wanting to find a new mate so that her kits would finally have a father. She thought she did a good enough job raising them, though they were a little too adventurous for her liking.
Willowleaf stood up and walked closer I her. "I was going to ask..." He said. "If you'd like to be my mate after your newly apprenticed kits become warriors." He looked straight into Roseclaw's eyes with hope.
Roseclaw took a step back surprised, "Really?!" She shuffled her paws for a moment before regaining her composure. "Well... I uh, I do like you." She admitted, a gleam appearing in her eyes and her tail flicked happily.
Willowleaf blushed and smiled lightly. "Okay then..." He said. Then he stood taller and looked straight into Roseclaw's sparkling eyes. "Roseclaw, you've been my friend for some time now and I've grown to adore you. Will you be my mate?" He asked.
"I would love to." Roseclaw mewed. "But like you said, we should wait until my kits are made into warriors. Whisperpaw is your apprentice, it might be a bit...weird." She admitted, but a small purr had formed in her throat.
Willowleaf smiled and nodded. "Of course." He said. "We must go back now. The others might be wondering where we are." He turned around and swayed his tail, motioning for Roseclaw to follow.
Roseclaw padded after him happily. She never expected Willowleaf to have feelings for her. "Are you going to take Whisperpaw out training today?" She asked as they walked back to camp.
Whisperpaw did her best to keep up with her mentor. "Where to first?" She mewed, her long legs propelling her forward. It was nice to be out in the forest without needing permission this time.
"Okay!" Whisperpaw wasn't sure what WindClan smelled like, she was excited. She hoped it didn't smell as gross as fishy RiverClan.
