Moonstar led he to the center of the scene in attack. The ground was still red, and the undergrowth still had a faint smell of death "everyone, just go sniffing around this area" she said

She sat where she was, and sighed.

Blackstone was about to go when he saw her sit down. "It wasn't your fault." He said gently.

"I know" she said "it's just, I never imagined being a leader to be so much responsibility. I mean, sky clan is growing, but it's also losing people too. And all I want is a happy and healthy clan" she said, and once again sighed and whispers to only herself "oh starclan, what do I do?"

Blackstone nodded solemnly. He placed his tail on her shoulders comfortingly. "You're doing great so far."

Moonstar perked herself up "okay, continue the patrol" and whisked to another corner of the forest

Blackstone nodded and shook his head slowly. He followed her lead once again.

She sniffed around the area, seeing if the badger left any scent, while looking for cubs

Blackstone sniffed everything. Her then followed a lead towards the border and realized that the badger that attack was no longer in their territory. "Moon star." He called.

Moonstar went running over "What's the matter" she said, voice in panic. "Did you find the badger?"

"No I didn't, but look where it's trail leads." Blackstone meowed gravely as he pointed into the direction of the clan border.

I sometimes wake up, and I get heaps of messages that have happened in the middle of the night for me, but in the middle of the day for you! And I think when it's the afternoon here, everyone's sleeping, because nobody's on!))

Blackstone nodded and was glad that the badger was out of their territory. He had a feeling though that it might be back.

Moonstar looks towards the direction of a large mountain, where the scent leads. "The badgers den is probably up there" she said, pointing her tail up to a dark cave near the foot of the mountain.

Blackstone nodded and before she could say another word he was already halfway to were she thought the den might be. He stopped almost a fox length from the entrance and scrunched his nose when he scented the badger. He then backed away slowly and went back to Moonstar.

Moonstar saw him come back "Anything to report?" She asked, as she gathered up the rest if the scattered patrol.

"It's definitely there. And it seems it's been there for awhile." Blackstone growled lowly.

"Hmmmmm" Moonstar thought for a second. "We don't want to stress the clan, but then again, it's still nearby." She thought again "I'll calm down the clan, saying it's out of the territory, but say for patrols to keep a lookout"

Blackstone nodded. "That would be the wisest decision." He meowed in agreement.

Moonstar took one last glance at the mountain, before leading the patrol pact to camp.
