I think I'd like to read a great explorers journal, maybe captain cooks'. My DH is an adventurer and I feel I don't really understand his mindset as I've always been a stay at home type of person. Maybe reading up on someone like that would help me understand why he pines for a bit of travel!
Id also love that. Let's research a few an see what we can find, then maybe we can have a group/buddy read of one or a few. I shall start looking.
Good plan! I'll ask DH for suggestions!
DH suggests My Outdoor Life (doesn't look overly exciting lol) or a book about Shackleton or he says Captain James Cook: A Biography is a good book.
Captain James Cook looks interesting. I can't add book links on this silly phone!
Now I can't remember the name of it. But somebody I chatted to in the library was talking about one written about a pirate... This sounds interesting. Although I think because I'm imagining Captain Jack Sparrow! I'm going to try and find the person or the book next time I go.

Perhaps I can't remember. I'm really a bad person to talk to in the library. People have about 10% of my concentration if that! But se let's go for that. It will take me a while to get hold of copy if it's not in stock. I will report back wen I've found out how long?
Iasa I really want to come and raid your TBR pile!
The scott book would also be interesting.... How many 'currently reading' books do we all have on the go at the moment?
Um I think mines at 15... I keep finding new ones to start!

I agree with you Rose - I would love to read Henry VIII's journal. I think I'd like to read about Cleopatra from the point of view of Caesar and Mark Antony.
Yes... I carry quite a few around with me as well. Carrying my bag is like a wight lifting session. An the straps always break! My latest handbag is huge. My boyfriend jokes I should have a suitcase on wheels to take everywhere with me.
I just cannot resist picking up new ones. And some of them are a bit to samey to only read that. Also I always start my read for review ones as soon as I get them.
I'm reading Game of Thrones series. But I couldn't just read those. I like to break it up with different genres for my moods!
Lucy I totally agree with you, it would be interesting to hear the otherside of that story.
A lot more books seem to get written from the woman's POV. Maybe because we are always right? I've lost count of the number of Anne Boleyn ones I've read!

Which persons life story would you most like to read? And from whose point of view?
I would love to read Henry the 8ths journal. Find out what exactly was going on in his head, what with all the beheading that went on.
