1. I'm 85 years old and write in multi-genres, including horror and supernatural.
2. I have published 8 books, one of which is in pre-production for a movie. I was a career journalist, a talk-show host and still do celebrity interviews.
3. I interviewed Clint Eastwood, Jane Russell, Ted Kennedy, Tanya Tucker and many more.
4. I'm mother of six (two are now angels in Heaven), nine grandchildren, six great-grands, and two great-greats. I know, that's a lot of kids, but they are so precious to me. What keeps me going. Well, them and writing... :-)
5. Last but not least, I'm a Christian and i believe in paying it forward. Love helping people.
6. (for good measure...) I have written 486 Amazon reviews.
If you want to know anymore, please check my website: www.bettydravis.com

Been lurking this group for awhile.
1. 46
2. Two daughters, 14 & 8
3. I have 7 novels self pubbed now
4. Christian, nondenominational
5. I love B movies, MST3K and Pulp/Men's Adventure... oh, I guess those are all pretty much the same...

2. I have been a type one diabetic for 37 years just now starting with complications in my eyes
3. I would rather read a good book then watch or eat anything.
4. I have not been able to drive for 2 years because of detached retinas
5. I would love to be able to write books but seem to have a chip on my shoulder that always bleeds through lol how do you write a story and not include your friends sh**** characteristics. lol

I have no children.
I read and read and read.
I own a wine and spirit store.
I love cats and my husband of 30 years.

I am a smoker, drinker and gambler.
I am a Vietnam Veteran.
I am a writer, but always found reading to be boring.
I have a wife, two daughters, two granddaughters and a female cat which I like the best.

2.I love to read, but YA and Historical are my favorite genres.
3.I'm claustrophobic
4.I don't have any kids, but I love my 3 nieces and 2 nephews to death.
5.I go to the movies at least 3 times a month.

1. I'm not a 'natural' Texan, but both of my sons are (although one son is high functining autistic, severe ADHD, Oppositional Definance Disorder, gallstones, soy allergy, sensory issues, and poor fine motor skills and even got suspended from Kindergarten for a few days.) So, if anyone wants to feel better about their children, or about not having children- ask me to tell you about my youngest.
2. I am legally blind in one eye, and will never ever ever ever be able to correctly 'see' a 3-D movie, which is ironic because my great-great uncle first developed that type of filming (originally called 'Naturalvision'). No depth perception either, which made learning how to drive a very interesting experience.
3. I'm not a writer, BUT I've been ackowledged, or had a character named for me, or my sons, in well over a dozen books. Makes me feel special. I've even had a New York Times & USA Today Bestseller author remember my entire name at a book signing, I almost peed with excitement.
4. I have a BFA in theater, but adored taking anthropology classes. Magic, Ritual, & Religion (there are some odd tidbits of knowledge I got from that class that I don't think I could ever forget); Human Variation (fascinating subject, did you know one of the highest natural occurances of blonde hair is among the Australian Aborigies, they also often loose their Wisdom teeth naturally and have another set of them come in.) I'm fascinated by the oddest things... and I pretty much don't use my theater degree, missed my chance to climb the ladder and live as a 'starving artist/theater/film hand'... life got in the way.
5. Reading and movies (DVD's or Blue Ray- almost never in a theater anymore) are my primary hobbies and escapes, although I also enjoy Blogging, making jewelry, creatings one-of-a-kind T-shirts for authors to sign, making stained glass (foil method), Geocaching, and DanceWalking!
Sorry I had so much to say, but that's the way I roll. Like I said, I'm an oddball.

2. I am a full-time writer and proofreader.
3. I am a lifelong horror geek (I read the unabridged versions of Dracula and Frankenstein in elementary school, watching the old Universal films around the same time).
4. I love to cook.
5. I have a terrible sense of direction.

1. Marketing/PR manager by day, paranormal / horror author by night.
2. Married with one furry baby called Gizmo.
3. Published my first novel, The House on Poultney Road in Jan 2014 which took many years to write as its based on a true account of my family's haunted past. The sequel is due to be published this July & am in talks with a couple of production companies.
3. I self-criticise everything I do - I know my errors and will always work to put them right.
4. I have started on two horror fiction pieces and can't wait to get my teeth stuck into them.
5. Turned thirty this year which I've heard is a great decade to be in.
6. I've been obsessed with horror ever since I can remember - my first experience being Pet Cemetary when I was around eight years old (stole it from my brothers bedroom) & have been an avid fan of King's ever since.
I want to scare people with my writing and make them face their deepest and most hideous nightmares. MWAHAHAHA!!

2. I'm a college prof.
3. My fav paranormal movie might be "The Others" -- it's def in the top ten.
4. I've been writing my whole life. (Just published my first.)
5. I have a very rare muscle disease -- as in, made the Johns-Hopkins docs scratch their heads.
6. I am a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo, which makes #5 interesting. (My wife and I own a martial arts studio.)

2. I know how to scare the hell out of the reader.
3. I can and will use the reader's emotions, plucking them like guitar strings.
4. I can and will balance plot and character development in my stories.
5. I write because my imagination has a gun to my head and it's either my fingers or my brains on the keyboard.

2. I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance and romantic suspense novels, with a weakness of good horror novels when I can find them.
3. I tend to favor indie authors. Find they're the ones putting out the most original work right now, while most of the commercially published stuff is painfully formulaic.
4. I'm an environmental engineer, only woman in the office where I work.
5. I've been divorced twice and my dating life is pretty dismal. Beginning to suspect it might be me...

1. I'm a lifelong reader of all things macabre.
2. I write, mostly about dark and sinister things.
3. I like to think I'm good at it but I sometimes wonder if I'm not just kidding myself.
4. I'm married with 4 grown children and 8 Grandkids who all call me Paw.
5. When I'm not writing or working I can be found making a mess in my wood shop.

1. I'll read just about anything, but my preference is horror and dark fantasy - and I reread the graphic novels of Alan Moore, and something by Clive Barker at least once a year.
2. A year and a bit ago, our family moved to Winnipeg, which I'm convinced is the coldest major city in North America. (But there's more than enough that's amazing to balance that out. If you ask me, I'll bore you with it.)
3. I've self published one collection of short stories, most of which had already been published in e-zines and anthologies. Also, I run a yearly short fiction festival on my blog, called "Days of Madness", that has spawned four ebook collections of the entries.
4. My "style" - which I wasn't aware of until reviews started coming in, is sort of "Twilight Zone meets Evil Dead, by way of Creepshow." Which is to say that I can't stop cracking jokes, even when the cannibal is taking out his "good knife."
5. I am currently in the middle of the driest writing spell ever, having written maybe 1,000 words in three months, and it's driving me crazy, but I can't seem to get back into the groove of "doing," and instead I find myself watching TV or playing video games instead of creating - which feels super shitty in retrospect, but I can't seem to snap out of it.
Damn. That escalated quickly. I'm normally in a pretty good mood. Let me start again:
Hi, I'm Chris. Nice to meet you.

1) i am 29
2.) mother of 5
3.) college student
4.) love cross stitching
5.) Just fond my love of reading this year and now I cant stop.

1. I am currently attending college for criminal psychology.
2. My favorite author is Stephen King. I enjoy ALL types of books, though.
3. I tend to read more non-fiction than fiction, because I love to learn. I have been trying to focus on more fiction stuff lately.
4. My mother was the one who got me into reading. She encouraged my brother and I to read when we were little, and now we are both avid readers.
5. I played softball for the majority of my life, and I also love going to baseball games or watching them on tv (Go Indians!)

1. I am a 55 year young female, disabled and reading is my passion.

3. I have five tiny Yorkies: Peanut, Bella, Bubba, Bentley and Buford. They run my life. I am sure they would tell me what to read so thank God they can't read.
4. I just got a kindle and enjoy it but, it isn't the same as reading a book, no smell, texture, no cover to feel so I switch back and forth. Actually holding a book is my favorite.
5. I am excited to be in this group and look forward to new authors and their ideas.

1. I am in my 30's. (No, I am not getting more specific than that).

My five things are:
1. I am a Christian.
2. I love people – family, friends, community and helping where I can.
3. Carefully crafted words – writing and reading as often as I dare.
4. Beautiful imagery, nature and artwork.
5. Watching the underdog win, being inspired – seeing others succeed and achieve their goals.
I am very excited to meet other writers/authors! I hope that we can support, encourage and help each other to grow our fan base’s, find new awesome books to talk about and read and write the best books every published! : ) Thank you so much for making this group.

2. I've written four novels and worked on two non-fiction books with my daughter.
3. I acted on Days of Our Lives for 7 1/2 years.
4. Scary stuff has always been my favorite thing to read - and write!
5. I have a terrible propensity to use the word "that" too many times when writing - but I do clean it up before releasing.
Hope to make a bunch of new friends here!

2. Its my dream too to write for a living.
3. I've been crocheting since I was 10 and no matter how hard I try can't learn knitting
4. I'm an only child but do have a latina sister who is always there when I need anything
5. Basically, I'm just a nice, old-fashioned girl who writes about mean, fucked-up shit. I won't promise that I'm not a bit like my characters. My sister she knows what parts are me and who I'm modeling around. That girl can read my mind.
6. I'm married too and mother to 3 fur babies. They are the light of my life.

1. I AM a natural Texan, but transplanted to SC.
2. I raised 5 kids in the country and we have a menagerie of too many cats, dogs, etc to count.
3. I'm a genealogy junkie (probably due to losing my parents at a young age and having no other family but my siblings) and just found and met my half-sister for the first time, thanks to a photo.
4. I consider coffee and chocolate necessary to life.
5. I am working to promote and hopefully publish my first novel -- a paranormal/thriller/romance ( pt 1 of a series) about Armageddon, which if it isn't picked up by an agent, I will likely self publish in January 2016.
Hope to make some new friends here!
ANYWAY
Hi! I'm Nenia Campbell. :D
1. I'm twenty-four years old, & have already written and finished ELEVEN BOOKS (wheeee)
2. It is my dream to be able to write full-time. Like, seriously. It's what I've wanted to do since I was fourteen. MAJOR LIFE GOALS HERE, PEOPLE.
3. I can't whistle. It's ironic, because I play the flute, which is basically a giant, expensive whistle, but I can't lip whistle. LOLfail. (I also can't roll my tongue.)
4. I speak Spanish semi-fluently.
5. Basically, I'm just a nice, old-fashioned girl who writes about mean, fucked-up shit. I promise I'm not anything like the characters in my books. LET'S BE FRIENDS! :D
5.5. Seriously, I'm not as scary as I seem. o_o
