It's time to mark your calendars for our next quarterly read-a-thon! It will take place Friday September 4th at 12.01am and continue until Sunday September 6th at 11.59pm in your local time zone - 3 full days :) (This will coincide with the beginning of the Spring Challenge)

As we reached 19,494 pages last time, our goal will be a total of 19,500 pages read by all who participate. And again, if we exceed that total, we will possibly increase it for our next quarterly read-a-thon.

Please post your interest here in this thread up until we begin the challenge - when the weekend is over the page number read will be tallied:)

If possible, check in at least once a day, more often if you want. Our cut off time for you to add your final totals will be 12noon Monday 7th AEST:)

You're right there - have a 'day off' today as mum and her friend have gone on a day trip and don't get back till tonight. So catching up on my groups today.

I've never joined one of these events and I'd love to help you reach your target. A couple of questions though; I mainly read on my Kindle and not all books show page numbers how do I calculate my number of pages if I don't finish the book? I guess a bit of planning could have me reading one with pages that weekend. Also do Audiobooks count?

Yes audio books definitely count - just check the page count on another edition for these:) And the same with the kindle copy. It makes it a little more of a challenge to work that out (I try to read books with pages for this!) but it usually does in the end.

Oh no! These are always in super busy weekends for me. Will try because it's fun but once again my target is a mere, measly 200

My weekend is busy too, but I am sure like you I can add some pages to the total :)
I may go without some sleep though............
