I read a book called Eve and Adam and I mean it wasn't that bad of a story, but it had nearly NOTHING to do with Adam and Eve. Basically it was about this girl that created a guy and she named him adam because her name was Eve. Oh and she got into an accident because she was starring at an apple in the store or something. Soooo it could have been so much better! The cover is soooooooo cool though and it was a good idea, it just didn't turn out right.

Ya, I read that book too. Cool cover, and the story was pretty good, but it really didn't go that well with the story of Adam and Eve.

Thank you! I stupidly chose this book for my "free read" in high school, based on my teacher's recommendation and I HATED it. The cover was nice, but I just had no idea what anyone was talking about...

I wasn't even able to complete the book it seemed SO boring !!
P.S. : No offense to any of it fans ^_^

Haha, I agree with you there! I got the first book in the series as a present for my 15th birthday, and at the time I loved it, so I went back to B&N to buy the next two. After the third book, I left the series for awhile, and then I received "Hunted" about a year or so later, so I started it...and it was so bad! I didn't even finish it, which is rare for me, because my personal policy is to finish all books...(y'never know, each book has to have SOMETHING to offer, right?)but that one I just couldn't get through. Plus, the old-English spelling of "vampyre" annoyed the heck out of me, for whatever reason. (Likely because I take it upon myself to be Grammar Police.) Maybe they really should be referred to as "vampyres" but just spell it with an "i"! For Pete's sake, that wouldn't kill them, would it?

Couldn't even make it through the first couple chapters...and it was a middle-grade book, so it wasn't long, or anything! Maybe 200 pages at the most, but I couldn't do it.

Shiver does have a really distinctive cover though but it sounded twilightish."
Yea the only reason I bought it was because of the cover

I really liked shiver, but I Can see why it would remind people of twilight

The Dawn of the Dreadfuls:Prequel to Pride and Predjudice and Zombies was pretty bad. Its like one of those bad spoof movies but in book form. Having the Benet sisters be Kung-fu fighting Ninjas was funny for like, 5 minutes then it just got embarrasing.
Also, I haven't read it but I'm pretty sure 50 shades of Grey would be one of the worst books ever...considering some of the excepts I've read.

trange, and one-dimensional, and it had a dramatic, "Look-at-me,-'cause-I-use-big-words" writing style, which irritated me a little. Just vague storytelling in general...a weird little book.
And yet, people and critics have raved about it; so I'm probably missing something, but oh well.
Not my kind of book. It actually ended up being more focused on one character, and then at the end, it was as if the author said "Oh yeah, I've also got three other main characters to work with!" and tacked on the rest of their stories at the end.
Basically, "It's Kind of a Funny Story" for an older, more mature audience.
Only less witty.
And a lot more grim and depressing.

This is just my opinion but Of Poseidon did not live up to its beautiful, beautiful cover. It was pretty bad.
I learned not to judge a pretty book over its cover after Across the Universe.

There's a writer who has a quote...something along the lines of "All books have something to teach you; whether or not you actually like them." and I think that's a good sentiment. Although it was the main thing keeping me reading the books I didn't so much care for...
Still, I think the quote holds true. :) There are SO many good books out there though...so I feel like, y'know - why suffer through books you don't like? Put it down, and keep exploring to find a better book! But that's just me personally.

I was actually really dissapointed by The One... I was so excited for it to come out, but it just didn't meet my expectations
Sarah wrote: "I have to say, that I used to love the selection, but I now see that Maxon and other characters in the story made so many stupid decisions."
I know, and it seems like the whole ending was just sort of convinient but not very realistic

Ya, some of the books we have to read for school can go pretty slow. Last year I had to read A Tale of Two Cities. I enjoyed it, but it took forever!!!!!

This book, man; I'm tellin' you! Ugh.
One of the most ignorant, rude, and arrogant main characters I have ever come across. She frequently whines, and complains, and she hates animals of all kinds, and just her life in general. She's supposed to be almost 17 - she is the biggest whiner! That's just poor characterization. Unless you want your readers to think that all 16 and 17 year olds are self-absorbed complainers...I guess there are a lot who are, but I also know a lot who are not. My parents would be slapping me upside the head if at 16, I whined half as much as Amy did in this book!
And then by the last chapter, she's all "Oh my gosh, I love my Israeli boyfriend so much, even though he was forced to join the army against his will, which I don't agree with, but I actually ended up having a great summer in Israel, and it turned out to be the summer that taught me the most about love, friendship, and life!"
Puke. WAY too sickly sweet for my taste.
Well you know Olivia I was going to read the Twilight series and now that you bring that up I am thinking about it and know the book sounds dumb! Saw all the movies HATED those well the were good but horrible good.
