A movie is being made based on the book and the trailer looks amazing, unlike other movies which are based on books.

Hey Jenny (Mod), You declared that The God of Small Things is your all-time-favorite. Have you heard about Talkhiyan(Bitterness)?? (I know the answer will be no.)
If you loved The god Of small things then it is a must-watch for you. It is a TV-adaption of the book. You can easily find it on Youtube.
Here is a review of both, Book and Drama(Not by me).

Yes, This TV Adaptation (Sorry for Typing mistake in previous msg) is not THAT famous, Even this is a Pak-Drama and it's not at all famous there. (Though Popularity can never be the scale of Quality, So don't judge without watching it,Plz.)

Did you hear about the new TV Channel Zindagi?? It shows Pakistani Dramas (and trust me they 1000 times better than our Never-Ending-Serials).
I watched Zindagi gulzar hai (Fawad Khan, You know him?? If not Google him.) and became Fan of Pak-Dramas and Sanam Saeed's Acting skills.
I googled her and found that she played main character in Talkhiyan, the TV adaptation of The God of Small Things.

Because Pak-film-Industry is almost dead, so Drama Industry and Music Industry is doing great work.

I recently read two books And Then There Were None and The Lost Girl.Both of them were simply amazing!

The biggest treasure that I discovered this year (or rather was introduced to) is David Gemmell's Troy Trilogy, a historical novel. It has a lof of fresh ideas and plays with classic Iliad and Odsyssey. The characters and plot are just amazing. The first part is Lord of the Silver Bow. Yes all shows are available on youtube. I think you should watch Zindagi gulzar hai (Based on a novel by same name) first b'coz Humsafar (Based on a novel by same name) was a typical Sas-Bahu-Type Drama.

Yeah,They are available with subtitles. All you need to do is Write 'Zindagi gulzar hai Ep 1 with Eng subtitles' in the search box of youtube.
But I wonder why do you need Subtitles? Don't you know Hindi??
