I think while she was trying to make a relationship work with adrian,she got carried away,a bit.

Lord, its been so long since I've read these books that I'm clueless to this scene.

I think Rose let Adrian bite her in an attempt to try to forget the misery concerning Dimitri and how his "love for her had faded".

I feel she herself wasnt sure abt her feelings for Adrian , like she was still in love with Dimka but didnt want to be , like she was trying to reassure herself that she liked Adrian and didnt wanna think abt Dimka

I think she knows she is hung up on Dimitri and she wanted sex more or less to prove that she loves Adrian, but decided against it at the last moment. She feels guilty for numerous reasons and does the next 'slutty' thing that pops into her mind to dull the pain she is feeling at about both the guys in her life.

She was mad at the fact of what Dimitri said so you could argue that fooling around with Adrian was like an act of revenge but since they didn't have protection she allowed him to bite him instead.
