The Selection RP discussion

Where all of the balls take place.

Halaena walked with the Queen, walking a little behind her as they entered the Ball Room. "This place is wonderful. The architecture is exquisite."

The queen walked into the ballroom, she had not danced in a year. She sighed, "What kind of dance would you like to learn?"

Halaena looked thoughtful for a moment and then smiled. "Whatever you think is appropriate. I already know some of the basics, such as the waltz and some Latin. I learned from a book and taught myself." Her Caste didn't really allow for creativity. One of their specialties was lawyers, like her mother, so that pretty much explain a lot.

"Well, let me quickly do something." She went to the middle of the floor and started to dance a little of some ballet. This was only thing that she was proud of even if her mother forced it on her.

Halaena smiled as she watched her. The rumors were true, in fact, they didn't begin to explain how good of a dancer the Queen was. "Your amazing."

The queen finally finished; she bowed as she smiled, "Thank you."

She clapped, truly awed by her dance. "I wish I could dance as good as you can."

"You can if you practice." She walked to Halaena, "So what would you like to learn first?"

"Well, I have only been to one ball before, and I was to young to be dancing then. So, preferably a dance that will occur at the ball maybe?" Halaena couldn't think of any specific dance.

"Well, I will teach you a waltz then," She smiled as she held out her hand for the girl to take.

Halaena laughed softly and smiled, taking the Queens hand. She had tried the waltz before, but with an actual person reaching her rather than a book, it will make all the difference.

"Now, just follow my lead." She smiled at Halaena, "One...two...three...one...two... Good, now keep on going."

Halaena laughed again softly, enjoying learning how to dance properly. She was rather good at it, and she moved gracefully in time with the Queen. "Thankyou for teaching me how to do this."

The queen continued to teach her until she realized that this was the second good thing she had done.

Still keeping into time, she looked at the Queen and smiled. "May I ask who taught you?"

Who taught me? The queen thought for a moment, "My mother." She told Halaena lightly as she continued to lead them around the floor.

"That explains why your so good at teaching me." She said this to her with a small smile and continued dancing. Her own mother was always so busy with work and had never taught her much other than studies. The list of clients her mother had kept on getting bigger, as she was a really good psychologist and word spread about it.

"My mother told me that I had to dance, so she taught me, except for the part where I wanted to read the books in the library." She told her.

"You and I are rather similar with our mothers, only opposite as well. I wanted to learn how to dance, to play instruments and be a lady, but I have been told to read and study. I won't deny that it has gotten me far, but still, it's not what I wanted to do." Halaena never really revealed her thoughts, but she felt safe doing it with the Queen. She liked her.

The queen smiled and chuckled, "a key thing about dancing you have to be light, but passionate about doing it."

((I have a few more minutes, so if I just disappear, then that's when the brb applies lol))

She smiled and nodded. "That is true. I believe I have passion for it, but I wouldn't know if I'm light enough on my feet."

"A trick is to be on your toes and to go with the flow." She told The selected girl.

She nodded. "It's like you have to feel the music and go with it, right?"

"Exactly," The queen nodded, "Time to take a break."

Halaena stopped dancing and released herself from the Queen. Stepping back, she curtsied. "Thank you."

((Have to go to bed))

The queen let go of the girl and curtsied back, "Not a problem."

((Alright lol Night.))

Halaena realized what the time was and smiled. "Wonderful. It's time to go and see my maid. We are designing a dress together." Smiling at the Queen, she said her thanks once again and departed.

The queen watched as she left the room. She tried to figure out what to do now.

Vaguely, Halaena hoped she made a good impression, but the thought quickly vanished. Stop thinking like that, it will make you nervous.

The queen started to look around the room trying to figure what kind of decorations there will be.

Maryann walked in the ballroom and watched as the queen gave dancing lessons

The was too busy planning in her head that she did not notice that someone came in.

Kaylee had been walking around the castle heading towards the woman's room when she saw another of the girls go into a room so naturally she followed her. The room that she entered was obviously a ballroom and the queen was in there too.

Queen Victoria started to mumble about the tables and more of the decorations.

((Can I join you guys for now? I'm bored haha))

Mary Ann started walking around the ball and emotions ran high. She started dancing then she notice other people were in the room "oops sorry"

The queen paused for a second and turned to see two girls in the room. She smiled.

Kaylee just stood off to the side of the ballroom and watched people dancing but had no idea why they were even dancing in the first place. When the queen turned towards them and smiled Kaylee returned the smile with a small but perfect curtsy, "Your majesty," She said.

Savannah entered the ballroom, hoping to find someone who could at least teach her the first steps of a dance. She was just so bad at it, but she knew that with a little practice, she'd be alright.

The queen then went back to thinking on what the decorations were going to be.

Savannah saw the Queen and the two other girls, and decided to go towards them. "Hello. It's nice to see you again, Your Majesty," she smiled. 'And you, Mary," she chuckled. She didn't know the other girl yet, but she was more standing out side of the group.

"It's Kaylee since you don't seem to remember that." Kaylee said striding towards the group of people and mainly addressing the girl who had just entered since she had just completely ignored her.

Savannah shook her head at her tone, and sighed. "Sorry, but well, there are so many girls here I tend to forget about who I've met," she muttered. "I don't know if you remember my name, but it's Savannah, "she said slowly, looking at the girl.

Kaylee flashed Savannah a smile, "It's okay," She said softly, "I don't think we've really met anyway." Kaylee added.

"I can't really remember," she admitted, smiling apologetically. "I'm sorry," she said gently. "So... are you here to dance?" she asked curiously.

"Hi savannah!" Maryann said

The queen looked around the room. She knew that there would be a discussion later.

"Honestly, it's fine," Kaylee said putting on a grin. "Not really... I was just passing and saw people in here. You?" She said and looked around the ballroom which was so much more beautiful than what she had ever seen and she had quite high standards being a two.
