I have two outdoor adventure fiction books, Off to See the Varmint and Off to Search for BigFoot. Think of a modern western, only instead of cowboys think hunters and instead of rustlers think environmental terrorists. Nothing to serious, just an easy read. Off to See the Varmint is available for free at Barnes and Noble. Off to See the Varmint
***EDIT***Just received the Audible free download codes for this book, I've got 5 to give here. Please leave a review of the audiobook on audible.com after you listen!
Just released! The audiobook version of "Build a Brilliant Bugout Bag and Beyond" by Zac Lasson ... and narrated by yours truly ...
It's pretty much a layman's guide to prepping and being prepared in case of a major disaster.

Window in TimeFor anyone interested in a unique outdoor adventure, I invite you to consider my novel, Window In Time.
The story involves five whitewater enthusiasts who are beginning the latest of their yearly adventures, this one on the Powderhorn River at the foot of the Colorado Rockies. The perfect river for challenging their skills, their trip on the Powderhorn is all but forgotten when two of them capture an alien. Emotions run high when the creature’s true nature becomes apparent, the realization quickly dawning that fame and fortune awaits if they can show the world that aliens actually exist.
The trip back to civilization is not without risks, yet no one is prepared for the alien’s escape attempt, or the hot, lush, and radically changed world they find themselves on as a result. Stunned and disbelieving, speculations abound as to what just happened, the only certainty being that they're not where they started. Wherever they are, all the men really want, is out. But theirs was a one-way trip, and they are forced to accept the notion that they have been marooned on a planet filled with animals that, prior to their journey through the Window, had only rarely prowled their nightmares.
They settle into a low profile existence, personalities clashing as they hunt, forage, and over the weeks that follow, fight to steer clear of the monster across the river while working to find a way home.
Hope you enjoy reading Window In Time.

Do note that this is story about five stressed out guys in the boondocks. The language can get a bit rough.
