Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

I didn't like the movie so I've never read read them, I think that's why I stayed away from her other books for so long

And I have yet to see the movie because I heard too many people say they didn't like it so I stuck to the books.

I had to go run errands, etc. and now am back at it.

Finished her Wedding Night while I was out & about. Her books always seem to start off frivolous but gain substance as they move along. Loved Wedding Night!

She is sitting at the dinner table, meeting her soon-to-be in-laws and we find out she opened her MIL's birthday gift and is actually wearing the camisole at the dinner table!

I am laughing so hard I am crying!

Funny how she says it's like one of those terrible nightmares you wake up from and thank God it was only a dream... Only it's not!

She is soooooo crazy!!! She is responding to all of his emails now... "just to thank him"...

He is really going to freak out when he finds out...

The round-robin email and volunteering him to lead a marathon group cracked me up the most!

So, she got the texts thinking that Sam's fiance was cheating on him... when actually it was magnus cheating on her... :( So sad!

Now she is talking to "DAD" - the buddy always looking to start a new business and needing investment money. She is a hoot getting her fingers into everything and now trying to clean up her mess.

It just so happens we were out of town a lot this weekend! I bet I finish this one tomorrow though. Really enjoying it!

OK - You have to tell me how this one ended!!! I got to the last 10 minutes (view spoiler)[ and then there was a problem with my file and it couldn't be read. I found the original folder where this audio was located to re-download the second half... but it was empty. So I'm at the part where she is getting ready to get married to Magnus-Shmagnus and she gets a text from Sam that says "Hi"

He thinks she cancelled her wedding. She didn't.
She thinks he gave her a brush off email. He didn't.
He asked if now was a good time to talk.
She sent him a picture of her in her wedding dress.....

Then she (view spoiler)[ goes ape shit and asks the congregation if it matters to them and they all put their hands up and say that it does (hide spoiler)]

Then someone (view spoiler)[ gets a text from Sam! (hide spoiler)]

Then (view spoiler)[ they all start getting texts.......Footnote:Remember the text all thing that the wedding planner had done but never got used?
Well he had contacted her and she helped him! (hide spoiler)]

She (view spoiler)[ dumps Magnus at the alter and steps outside the church only to see Sam standing at the coffee shop opposite the church .......sigh

So she crosses over in her wedding dress, snogs him and then invites him to the reception party with everyone standing on the church steps watching them lol

I was so annoyed at him when he was all worked up talking to himself about how he was proving to everyone that he could go through with a wedding. It was all like a big ole dare to him! grrrr (hide spoiler)]
