A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander, #6) by Diana Gabaldon

Book Summary:
The year is 1772, and on the eve of the American Revolution, the long fuse of rebellion has already been lit. Men lie dead in the streets of Boston, and in the backwoods of North Carolina, isolated cabins burn in the forest.

With chaos brewing, the governor calls upon Jamie Fraser to unite the backcountry and safeguard the colony for King and Crown. But from his wife Jamie knows that three years hence the shot heard round the world will be fired, and the result will be independence — with those loyal to the King either dead or in exile. And there is also the matter of a tiny clipping from The Wilmington Gazette, dated 1776, which reports Jamie’s death, along with his kin. For once, he hopes, his time-traveling family may be wrong about the future.

Oh dear, I'm so behind with this series. I've still to finish book 4, nevermind 5 or 6!

Mind you, is anyone actually reading this apart from me? I'm not sure there is ......

Yeah, at the moment I have no interest in picking them up. It might have something to do with work though, I'm just flat out with not a huge amount of spare time. Maybe once I get towards the end of October I might start with them again.

Ysa Silva | 1 comments I finished last month , was so intense, so many characters , I really like Lord John, I need to know what happen with Willian, Ian, Fergus, Roger, Jeremia, I need to start the next book soon

Meg (megscl) I found this book, and the previous one, quite painful to get through. So long and nothing happens!
I have started reading book 7 though and it is a little better.
I don't really know why I'm still reading this series

Oh that doesn't bode well for me ..... I'm trying to find the enthusiasm to start up the series read again (currently on book #4) but I'm struggling.

Janina (sylarana) | 692 comments I liked this one, but it took me a while to get into. Of course, by now I've forgotten most of what happened in it. I'll read a summary this month to prepare for the next one. I've tried to read that one when it came out, but gave up after a 100 pages or so ...

Claudia | 1 comments I have a question about the Epilogue 2, actually ,I am lost. who is Amos Crupp? Please could someone explain it to me? Thank you :-)
