The pitter-patter of the rainstorm hit the window as I tried to get my mom to lend me some money. When she finally said yes I was so excited. I was going to the movies with my friends. That was one year ago, when I could afford to care about that. Now, I had surfaced my father's old rivalries. And I was the target.
The rainstorm crashed around me. It matched my mood. Sad, depressed. It always matches my mood. Why? Because im a Enlamental. What does that mean? i control the weather with my emotions. Yea cool right? wrong, horible, because everyone i care about is dead because of it. Why dont i give? i ask my self that alot, but before my mom died her last words where, 'Dont let them break you!' I dont plan on letting her down. I will kill them. Even if its the last thing i do... and it probably will be.
I really like the ending line--Even if it's the last thing I do...and it probably will be. WOW! That's really good!
That would be totally great for the prologue if you expanded it a bit. That was really great.
I sat in the car and watched the rain on my window. I looked at the man in the driver seat, but he refused to look at me. I couldn't take it anymore! I jumped out of the car and ran through the rainstorm. Someone grabbed me from behind and I knew it was him. "Let me go," I yelled. He leaned down and kissed me softly. I looked up, surprised, and kissed him back. I was finally getting my kiss in the rain.
thanks, im writing this other story when somethings happening and she expains how it happened, i think im going to do that for this once too, if you want to read that story its http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4...
well here is my story....its 95 words....Toni looked out her window and saw the rain. She ran downstairs, "Mommy! I see the rain! And Lightning!" Toni squeaked. She loved lightning and this would be the first lightning storm she had ever seen in California. “Can I go outside mommy?? Please?!” Her mom was a drunk, “Yah…sure.” So Toni ran outside and sat in her favorite chair, “Mommy look! The lightning’s so beautiful!” Toni squealed happily. Once she got back to the house after the storm was overhead, she kissed her mommy goodnight and lightning struck down, a killing strike struck down.
yea... my is more than 75... can we always make the limit 100? so people who like to write less can and people who cant write less that 75 can write more?
no bolt of lightning will strike you down if you go over. you might want to keep that on the DL though...
I slither past like a panther. I headed to the window, scanning the way, creeping up a wall. To my friend, stop that . . . to my girlfriend's bedroom. I tap on the glass, she has fallen asleep. She asked me to come up to her bedroom after her parents were asleep. I would dare not slid open the window to let myself in in a billion years. I can think of billions of other things she means to me. I write a love note and will tuck it in her window, it's opened a crack and I can see nothing in the room or hear a thing. It begins to rain and I hurry down and walk a mile in the rainstorm. I’m a hopeless romantic.
haha u guys, its not all that strick. we just say 75 words just to, u know, suggest that it be kept short. actually originally it was 100. idk what happened. lolz.
As we raced down the steps barly able to hear what my parents are telling me. All around me i could hear the worst storm i have ever experienced. If i would've stayed in my room for a couple more minutes even seconds i would've been sucked up in to the twister with my roof. At least my whole family and i made it to the basment, we eve nmanaged to save my dogs life to. But the one thing when every one looks back on this occasion they always seem to be so caught up in their own stories to forget about one thing. That a twelve year old girl's life was claimed by this vicouse storm. And when everything was over and we went outside to see the damage the twister gave us. If only you could see it to experiene the horrer we were in you would understand why this short story is so long. But when we took a step back and looked at all the damage just one storm caused we were on the ground in tears. This storm took our house almost all our possesions and our whole neighborhood, but what it couldn't take away is the friendship we had. Everyone stood by everyone even if it was just to bring my family and i a glass of water. If we needed something even as simple as a hug it was always there for us no matter what. Bu what i learned through this whole experience is that bad experiences can turn into good experiences fast with the help of amazing friends. This is acctualy a true story. sadly
