I read this often as a child and reread it not very long ago sitting in a bookshop. It's a beautiful book! I don't really understand how it could work as a webseries though. Half the charm was in the animals being animals. I think it's lovely in the book that the heroine is a spider - I don't normally like spiders but I did love Charlotte. In truth, I wasn't overly impressed by the first episode of this series, but I suppose it's hard to judge a LIW on its first episode.
I'm not sure what to do with this. maybe it would be interesting to just the webseries first as a separate entity and then read the book after. Anyway, it's not a book I feel passionately about, so I could try that for once.
I actually liked the second ep better already so maybe it' ll get good.
