I am trying to find the title and author of an action/thriller novel where the protagonist (male) only has one name. The character is similar to Mitch Rapp or Jack Reacher or John Clark. I read/listened to the book probably within the last five years although I don't know when it was written. Any help for this newbie is greatly appreciated.

The Quiller Memorandum is the start of a British spy series with a protagonist who only goes by "Quiller."
These lists of character names (fictional detectives, etc.) are worth checking out:

What's the location - U.S./England/etc., big city/small town, around the globe, etc.?
Can you tell us more about the main character - special skills, job, background, personality, appearance, etc.?

As I recall, it was set in rural Pennsylvania. There was an abandoned underground facility (or perhaps it was a mine – my memory isn’t perfect) stockpiled with some sort of ordinance. The female lead and hero’s romantic interest (Oh, there’s a surprise), ends up getting shot and killed. My reason for asking was I enjoyed the character of the protagonist and was wondering of the author had written any more books for this character.
Bridger by James Patrick Hunt?"Description:Bridger steals things. He has kept out of prison by following two rules: never work with a partner, and, never work with the mob. When an ex-girlfriend talks him into stealing a four-million-dollar coin collection, he ends up framed for murder, and on the run from the mob and the police."
It is a bit of a stretch. However, a review from Library Journal says that the book is good for fans of Jack Reacher.
It wasn't science fiction, was it? Your description made me think of Dean Koontz's book Twilight Eyes, but in that one the hero and heroine were fighting against shapeshifting demon things that were trying to destroy humanity, and I feel like that's the sort of minor detail that tends to crop up in a plot description.
I Am Pilgrim? Looks like Pilgrim may be the code name of the spy protagonist. I haven't read it. But it doesn't seem to match your description very well.

Not a problem. I moved your request (temporarily) to the "Query abandoned by poster" folder -- by clicking the small "edit" link after the topic header, using the full desktop website (not the mobile app).
You or a moderator can move this thread back to the "Unsolved" folder anytime. I'd suggest bookmarking this webpage as a reminder. Or you can view your Goodreads Comments by clicking your profile image in the upper-right corner, then selecting "Comments" in the drop-down menu. (Again, this doesn't work on the mobile app.)
