Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

We've got a buddy read!

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments My October schedule is a bit nuts but I'll add this to my read for next month. Been wanting to read this one as well.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
Hope you'll be able to squeeze it in!

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 789 comments I'll come back and discuss with you. I read it recently and loved it.

Awesome, Karen. It sounds so good.

Lisa Just finished this book. Loved it, thought provoking. That's all I will say at this point. Glad I read it, thanks for suggesting it.

Paula | 245 comments Just finished today and I loved, loved it. I can't wait to give my thoughts to the discussion.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
Great to hear you loved it, Paula! I haven't gotten to it yet but I will!

Maggie | 1576 comments I plan on starting this one as soon as I finish Devoted in Death.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
I have it on hold from library - one person before me...so I hope soon.

message 24: by Kay (new)

Kay (kkfar) Just this past week had a recommendation to read JoJo Moyes. Looking forward to reading this new author.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I'm listening to it now!

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
Is the narrator good? When will this BR become a Spoiler Zone?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I'm just getting started so it's too early to tell about the narrator.

Let's make this a spoiler zone after the 15th.

Kay (kkfar) For those of you who listen to audio books, is it through audible or your library or another avenue? I borrow from my library through overdrive but the selection is very limited because I am not in a big city. Asked at the closest big city library about becoming a member but I would not be able to get books through overdrive from them. Since I listen to at least two a week it could get very expensive having to pay for them. Just curious what others do. Thanks for the info.

I do most of my audiobooks through Audible. I was using Scribd until they cut way back on the amount of Romance genre books they offered. I also take advantage of Whispersync if I have purchased the ebook, then the audio is offered at a much reduced price.

Tarri I use Audible and it is great. I also use Whispersync especially when I get the book for a buck or so for my kindle ap.

I liked the narrator, but I really like when they have more than one narrator on a book.

The book was great, it's my second JoJo Moyes book.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I get most of my audiobooks from the library. I can safely say they have most of the books I'm looking for. I also get quite a few directly from various publishers because of the blog. Lastly, I have an Audible account for the rare, hard to find titles. I currently have five credits so you can see I don't use it often.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
By the way, there are multiple narrators used in this book and I'm quite happy with the performance so far.

message 33: by Kay (new)

Kay (kkfar) Thank you for the information about audiobooks. I may have to look into an audible account after all.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments I'm starting this one now. My reading time has been minimal lately but will join discussions once I make some progress.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
My reading time is severely limited right now too, Quynh. It's frustrating but sometimes, you just have to deal with life. I'm still waiting for this book from the library. I'll return to discuss when I get it read.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I'm really enjoying this story. I'm about 1/3 of the way through.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
I'm still on the waiting list for the book. :(

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments So far I've only gotten to chapter 4. Anyone else think Lou's family are a bunch of jerks? They belittle her so much. :/

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I did at first....

I'm about 60% through.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
I have a book to finish & then I'll be listening to this one.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 789 comments I loved this book...ended up doing ugly crying...if anyone is interested, book 2 is now out.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I've got the second book ready and waiting. I've got about 2 1/2 more hours to go.

Maggie | 1576 comments I'm about 3/4 of the way done. Great book but have a funny feeling I may be needing tissue soon.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 789 comments Oh, you definitely will, Maggie!

Maggie | 1576 comments I was afraid of that.

Paula | 245 comments Maggie wrote: "I'm about 3/4 of the way done. Great book but have a funny feeling I may be needing tissue soon."

You will be needing a lot of tissues at this point Maggie. But so as not to scare you or give anything away, the entire book is tissue worthy.

Maggie | 1576 comments Just finished, needed tissue, I think I'll need them for a little while longer. What a wonderful book.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15085 comments Mod
I just finished and am still crying. I loved the epilogue.

Fortunately, I have the next book so I think I'll jump into it for a few chapters.

Let me know when we're ready to make this a spoiler zone.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11234 comments Mod
Make this a spoiler zone when y'all are ready. I haven't started this one yet & don't want to hold up the discussions. I'll sure pop back in when I finish!

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments Yeah feel free to make it spoiler zone, I'll visit the thread again once I'm done, hopefully before end of the month lol.
