ROTJ was "The End" but this book doesnt even give them time to think about what just happened which is good and bad, id like to hear more about how they are dealing with the things they learned about themselves in the movies.

Yeah - I agree with you. The whole transition to the adventure/ mission was very abrupt. Would have been nice if they had had at least a little time to reflect on everything that happened on and above Endor.

I hsve to agree they should have started it a few months after RotJ. My one disappointment is we don't get to see Luke tell Han about his Dad being Vader.

We know that Han finds out but I wanted to see how Luke or Leia breaks the news to him about their heritage.

I have to agree, while the story does flow it is an abrupt change from where everything seemed to be heading. It feels like there should have been at least one book between Return and Truce.

Actually I like that the books starts right after Jedi. But saying that I wish that there were a couple of chapters with some downtime for the characters to explore more.

It did feel rushed to me as well to have the new mission start right after the celebration over defeating the Emperor was done. On the other hand, the plot sort of requires the mission to start soon enough so news of the Emperor's defeat hasn't reached the Imperial outposts. Although one would think with the communication technology they have in place such news would travel faster than a ship in hyperspace, but I guess there's no Imperials staying around to broadcast such a message.

I love how they actually consider what would happen to someone's body after being shocked by so much electricity. Luke didn't just go on his merry way. He had major internal damage.

@Travis, I agree it is hard to believe that with the tech they have in the SW Universe that news of the Emperor's death wouldn't be instantly broadcast to all citizens.

But I guess we have to keep in mind when this book was written, 1994 I think. Things like Twitter and News websites didn't really exist like they do today.
