This world filled with so many lies and misconceptions, I find it hard to thrive, hard to make meaningful connections. Life constantly focused on money, what to buy, on endless consumption, is not a life I want to live, and is one that I'll eventually walk away from. For now, like most, I endure; life enjoyed is seldom. Just trying to be myself,trying not to lose my mind in this fucked up conundrum we call society.
Society, it pins us against each other; Chubby girls are forced to hate themselves all the ads that say they are not right and that makes them cry at night. They defend themselves by calling littler girls sticks which makes those littler girls suffer; Gays are forced to hide or "pay for the crime"; We are all separated into our own cliques where we are forced to stay. A nerd and a jock are forced to hate one another because the athletic and genus differences. Society is cruel but its hard to keep are judgement under control.
It's crazy isn't it, how society has these so called "rules" on how we should dress, how we should act and how we should have a certain way to think.
For example, society has a certain weight policy we all should follow, a girl could look skinny but society labels her as fat, or how a guy isn't hot if he doesn't have a six pack.Or another thing is how a girl can be told she isn't pretty cause she isn't the one to wear makeup or has the right look. But yet tells them that they are all beautiful.
Another thing is how society has this crazy thing that it's like you aren't able to fit in cause you aren't wearing the right type of clothes cause it's on the front of every magazine.
The fact that girls get labeled as whores for sleeping with the same amount of people a guy could and he gets all but a tap on the back from his guy friends.
Or that when a famous person passes away they are spread across 15 pages on a newspaper for weeks on end and there is more than one none famous person dying everyday and they don't get a say.
But when society finds out about one non famous person they flock like sheep to praise that one person as if they were great friends and then decides to forget about it a couple of days later.
