One thing I wasn't expecting was how much I have laughed while reading AiW. I always loved Alice based on the movies but now I can say she really is one of my favorite characters in a book. Overall really enjoying and will be following up with Through the Looking Glass.

Sorry but we don't know that yet. We are switching between choosing the book of the month among the mods only and between the members through a poll-voting (like this time for october) So we can't foresay the outcome. Sorry :(

I felt like she was quite cheeky sometimes which I always find both funny and a little annoying, like always disrupting people and being a little 'know-it-all'. also Alice seems to be a little arrogant in her way of thinking about other children she doesn't want to switch places with. But overall I guess Alice is quite the curious and enjoyable character. She seems so real as a character, especially if you would look at how female characters are portrayed nowadays (mostly the innocent, nice girls who have a pure heart blablabla)
So Alice, for me, is definetly one of my most beloved fictional characters. If that makes sense at all. (I just like that she differs in a lot of ways to the stereotype of girl portrayed nowadays.)

I agree with her constant disrupting and she definitely has her strong opinions not based off of anything which I think can come across as arrogant for sure, She somehow manages to pull it off and be lovable at the same time though. For me at least.
I think her childish nature is what makes her so appealing. She can accept this wonderland because she is a child but she is a product of the sophisticated times which makes her act more adult in certain situations. She is hot-tempered but tries to be polite all while this ridiculousness is going on around her. She's such a unique character which I why, I think, she has endured and become so beloved.

The month is almost over and I am almost finished with Alice in Wonderland! So let's discuss this little masterpiece of literature here!
I for one, still feel like Alice most of the time. I'm more often than not, lost in daydreams and overall I think it is quite human to be like that. We are all mad here, after all!
So any thoughts on the book? What does it mean to you, personally, or how do you interpret the meaning of the book?
Let us know in the comments! :-)
