I'm dividing this book into thirds as, although it's long, the type is a lot larger than Erikson's books and it's already split up into book 1, 2 and 3 within the book. This is the thread for Book II of the book so please make sure that you do not leave spoilers for the later part of the book!

Any improvements?
IS this better than the previous Esslemont?
What do you like/dislike?

Way better than the previous Esslemont by far!

Book II, Ch I update:

The Seguleh looking for something lost to them. My speculation is that they are looking for Rell (although they said something, not someone, hmmm). Back in Book I, Ch III, I've already been guessing that Rell might have been Seguleh even though he doesn't wear a mask. His amazing prowess, odd demeanor and discipline just screams at me.

The Wickan toddler - OMG!!! Surely this has to be Coltaine's reincarnation! I've been waiting to read this since the Epilogue of Deadhouse Gates!

So it seems that the toddler is Coltaine reborn and my guess that Rell is Seguleh is correct.

And wow, Laseen!! I know she was Mistress of the Claw but didn't realize that she has the skills to back that title up.
