The light above my bed starts to flicker. Off. On. Off. On. I tell myself that it's just a messed up electric circuit. I tell myself, it's all in your head. Your tired. You don't know what your really seeing. I tell myself over and over again...."There is no one else in this room but you!"
The problem with that is, I know I'm wrong. I know I'm lying to myself right now. Though I can't see it. There is someone in my room. Something in my room. My breath starts to come out in small gasps making clouds of fog in the air as the temperature starts to drop. I grip the blankest around me tighter. Shivering. My teeth rattle in my mouth, and my throat is so cold it feels like swallowing glass with every inhale. I have only been sitting in here for less then a few minutes and already my fingers are turning purple.
I tear slips out of the corner of my eye, but then freezes. Slowly, so very slowly my closet door opens, then the creature that watches me, steps out of the shadow of my closet. And I scream.
