What does every one think?

I started the book but had to return it to the library before I finished.

I think it's an interesting premise.

I read a little of it and got very bored, sorry. I don't do historical non-fiction very well and I didn't love the author's approach. I also found the premise to be ill-founded. The author assumes that Plato is awesome. Far to much of his emphasis is on him. Also, looking at some things online, it appears that the author might be incorrect.

I couldn't get past the section on the fall of Rome. I understand that history can be stories, but I thought his approach to storytelling to describe his claim didn't work.
