Avery wrote in her diary, (which was in Dutch to prevent prying eyes) and ate her mayo sandwich.
Avery looked up from her writing. She say Dylan and smiled. She continued to write.
Avery wrote furiously. There was an open spot next to her. She wondered if he would take it.
Avery looked at him. "Sure." She said softly.
Avery didn't even bother closing her journal. She knew he wouldn't be able to read it.
((It's OK!! Get better))
"Oh, I write my journal entries in Dutch, so if I lose it and someone finds it and tries to read it, they can't unless they know Dutch." Avery explained.
"Oh, I write my journal entries in Dutch, so if I lose it and someone finds it and tries to read it, they can't unless they know Dutch." Avery explained.
"Avery." She nodded, smiling. "Do you know any languages?"
"Too bad. Languages have helped fill up the hole my parents left behind." Avery felt a lump in her throat at the mention of her parents.
"My parents died when I was younger. I never really got to say goodbye." Avery said softly.
Avery nodded stiffly. "Some rare disease. We were in Mexico at the time.." She said absently. Then she shook herself. "Sorry, you probably don't care."
"Most people don't." Avery admitted. "Too self absorbed I guess."
"Whenever I try and talk about my problems, they don't listen. Then when THEY talk about their problems, and I don't listen, they get pissed!! It makes me mad." Avery clenched her fists.
"I try. But it's incredibly hard. Snobby people in general piss me off." Avery sighed.
"C'est la vie I guess." Avery half smiled. "That's French for that's life." She added.
Avery grinned. "The best part of knowing a language, you can swear in front of teachers." She joked.
"You see, I was born in America, but grew up in Brazil. Then at the age of 5 I moved to Mexico. At the age of 9 I came back to to the US to attend Winter Crest because of my parents. I was lonely most of the time growing up, my sister wanted no part of me. So I studied languages." Avery explained.
((I GOT HICCUPS :D))
((I GOT HICCUPS :D))
"I speak Latin, Greek, Roman, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Portegeuse, Korean, and Dutch." Avery said proudly.
Princess Evelyn Of The Bookish Dorks wrote: ""I speak Latin, Greek, Roman, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Portegeuse, Korean, and Dutch." Avery said proudly."
((It ok))
Avery giggled. "That's what most people say." She blushed.
Avery giggled. "That's what most people say." She blushed.
Avery got a bit flirty herself. "Really?" She winked.
"I know. I can’t believe other people have said it." Avery teased..
"How rude!" Avery pretended to look ataken back.
Avery grinned. "Oh well. At least I know you're the true sayer of it now." She said.
