Okay so we totally suck at getting together for a group read. I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest this one as an October BOTM. I've seen it around a lot but only just read the bio and I'm really interested: It's the little mermaid re-telling, including the point of view from the human princess who is also in love with the prince. Any takers?

It's actually off to a really promising start. I much prefer the mermaid books when it's written a touch more seriously.
do you think it's more humor or less mature in the writing style or are you referring to the characters I'm just curious
Just the whole vibe to it. I've read so many lately where the heroines are just so shallow…!
