History & Mystery discussion

Some mysteries are written by authors in what is for us a historical period but were written in their own general time period. They read much like a mystery written as historical fiction but are of course more accurate as to the time period. I thought about these when setting up this group but again since I am reading a book about a crime that influenced some of my favorite mystery writers. Some examples are the Sherlock Holmes novels, Wilke Collins and mayby Josephine Tey. What are some of others you can think of like these you enjoy? This is the folder for these discussions.
