Conner was already sitting down in the corner of one of the abandoned classrooms, belonging to the abandoned school. He found it a place of comfort sometimes, yet still lingers for the joy of people. It wasn't the safest place to be while at this time, with he disease and all, but Conner had learnt enough to defend himself. Besides, there wasn't much to do at white camp anyway. He sat down, and read his book, keeping his enhanced senses alert for any signs of people.
Kala creeped in, looking for some supplies. She saw conner and froze.
Conner froze as well, feeling her presence before he could turn and face her. He eventually did, and turned around, seeing that she was a lot younger than he was, but of what strength she had, he did not know. "Government?" He asked her, keeping a safe distance, hoping to not get into a fight.
Kala shook her head hastily. "You?" She asked.
Conner let out a long sigh of relief. "No, you're lucky" He said, advancing closer to her, yet keeping his distance. "You apart of the colors, or got your own tribe?" He then asked. Learning from past experiences, you couldn't just trust anyone you met.
Kala stared at him. Did he really expect her to tell her? "I'll tell you if you tell me," she said.
Conner rolled his eyes. He could go on like this all day, but wasn't really in the mood for it. He didn't really feel like saying exactly what color, as he still felt a sense of security, but he told her enough. "Yeah, I'm part of the color groups-" He said, taking a step forward, showing little signs of hostility, but not being too nice. "-Now you. Where are you from?"
"Here and there," said Kala. So he wasnt going to tell her anything, was he?
"Here and there?" He repeated. "What does that mean?" He frowned a little. Most people were not to be trusted, especially those who moved around. He suddenly had a thought, and stepped back, despite their age difference. "Whats not to say that you're working with them, or worse, you have it?" He said, implying if she had the disease herself.
"I dont."Kala said. "And im not."
"Im a DMG," she added, almost whispering. "And i've been on the run ever since my parents dumped me on the side of the road."
"Im a DMG," she added, almost whispering. "And i've been on the run ever since my parents dumped me on the side of the road."
Conner frowned, still not trusting this girl, but he went along. "Why run away?" He asked, confused at the idea, yet he also strangely understood her, as he also though of ideas of running away himself. Just the thought of isolation from such a structured society was nice enough to pursue the urge. "I mean, being a DGM and all..." He stopped there, looking at her. "Speaking of which, what's your power? And..." He eyed her down. "How old are you?"
"Im a blue, one of the weaker powers," she said. "And im 12. What did you expect me to do, wait on the side of the road until my parents cane back or the catchers caught me?" She added, rolling her eyes.
Conner nodded his head, as if he was agreeing with her. His eyes lit up at the mention of catchers. "Hey, you haven't seen any around, have you?" He said, looking partially worried. "Because I ain't exactly on the run. I'm still in my color group, and it would be pretty weird to explain my age and all to a catcher" he said, slightly chuckling. "Oh hey, by the way, I'm Conner"
Kala nodded. "You are really lucky. No catcher would ever suspect you," she said.
"I guess" he said with a shrug. "But you still need to be careful" he smiled at her. "Yeah...don't judge me on my age, alright?" Looking away, he picked up his book. "Joining a tribe, doesn't sound like a bad idea sometimes, but I'm not sure if its the best idea"
"Yeah," Kala nodded. She didnt know who were spys for the catchera.
Conner smiled, looking outside, and seeing the colors of dusk fall over the horizon. He turned back to the girl with a strange thought. "Hey, by the way, what are you actually doing here?" He asked her. "I mean, isn't it a little dangerous for someone of your age to just be wandering around?"
"Less dangerous than being in one of their 'camps'." She said bitterly.
Conner frowned. "Well, at least at those camps, you're given food, water, and a roof over your head" but he knew what she was talking about. Camps were a complete place of isolation, basically having no freedom. "But I understand what you mean" he added murmuring.
"Food and water?" Kala laughed. "You dont have any freedom, and your forced to work all day long, since there is nothing else to do! They use you for experiments, and train your powers so that you can help the government." She stopped when he said he understood.
Conner nodded, and sighed. "When you put it like that, yeah, it's basically torture" he said. "I've been thinking of running away, by where to, I don't know" he said, using his enchanted hearing to check for anyone else around. "I guess joining a tribe would be a wise idea, but I haven't found any yet..."
"Running away from what?" Kala asked. "Didnt you already run away? Or escape being caught? Isnt that why your here and not at one of those camps?" She asked.
Conner shrugged. "Yeah, I've practically run away, but I don't consider myself safe until I'm in a tribe or group of some sort" he looked at hai shoes. "As far as I know, now I still consider myself as apart of White group. Only until I find somewhere of refuge is when I will have truly escaped" he said, looking at her to see if she understood.
Kala nodded. She felt the same way. But tribes nowadays were only looking for powerful colors. Yellows, Blues, and purples didnt fit in with those.
Conner looked at Kala for a few moments, thinking. He then broke the silence that hung in the air. "Hey, what is stopping us from making out own tribe? You know? Me, you, and anyone else?" He said, as a suggestion.
"Nothing," Kala said. "Do you really want me?" She asked.
((I edited the character guide to show the range of how strong or weak colors are.))

"Sure, why not!" He said, nudging her friendly in the shoulder. "I mean, you haven't tried to kill me in the short time we've been together. Your one of he nicest people I know!" He said with a smile. "Not that I know many people in a wasteland like this..."
Kala smiled at Conner. "Hmm... but we need more people."
((I'll post in the tribe request thread))

((Okay))
"That's the spirit!" Conner said, beaming with delight. For some reason, the idea of creating his own tribe never came across him until his point, but now that it had, he realised how amazing of an idea it was. He was to never go back to the colors again. "But yeah, I agree with you. I say we wait to find people ourselves"

"Yeah," Kala said. "Colors dont matter. Trust does."
"Exactly" Conner said, smiling. He now knew it was stupid that he didn't trust this 12 year old in the first place, here was nothing wrong with her. "Well, now that we're basically a tribe of some sort, what exactly is your power?" He asked her.
"Blue," she shrugged. "Telekinesis. You?"
Conner opened his mouth to reply, but didn't know how to go about doing it. He decided to leave out his darker side/form for now, not wanting to scare her in anyway. "White, shape shifting" he simply said, like he would usually say. "But I'm limited to exactly what I can do and control of such, due to my age and all"
"Oh. What can you shapeshift into?" She asked him.
Yet again, Conner questioned how exactly he should answer, as people never really asked him more than his power itself, so he decided to leave out the dark part only. "I'm a cunning, swift and mischievous fox" he said in a quiet voice, giving her a wink.
"A fox?" Kala asked. "Hmm..." she started to ponder.
Conners smile faded away. "What?" He asked her, looking slightly worried. Did she know something that he didn't? Or was she judging him for his abilities? Of that he did not know. "What are you thinking about?"
"Oh... nothing," Kala said. "I was just thinking if you could communicte with animals when you shapeshift."
"I...guess I can" he said. "It's just that I've never shifted in front of any other animals before, to test that theory out" he put a finger to his chin, as if he was thinking hard. "But it's a good thin to try out" he said, with a smile. He didn't really want to talk about his own power any longer, in fear of going deeper into the topic of them, so he asked her. "Now tell me about your powers" he said with a smile.
"Well, mine is pretty simple. I want something to move to a location, it does it."
"Like...Teleportation?" He said, nodding his head. "Thats a pretty good power to have for someone who's apart of Blue..." He said, realising how offending his statement must of sounded to her. "Sorry" He murmured, feeling guilty for what he said. "I mean...its an useful power"
"Its fine," kala sighed. "I guess i could move myself to a place if i wanted..." she hadnt really thought of that. "And it isnt automatic. You actually see it move", she said.
Conner smiled, seeing that he hadn't of offended her. He was curious about her power. "Mind showing me?" He asked her. "You've probably got better control than I do" he said, letting out a half hearted chuckle. Your power probably isn't as dark as mine either he said, adding to himself.
"Nah, not really," she said, pretending. She knew perfectly well that she had complete control. "Okay." She imagened all the papers on the bulletin board falling down, and they fell with a whoosh, showering kala and conner.
Conner let out a joyous laugh as the papers fell on them. When they all fell, he looked over at Kala and smiled. "Thats pretty cool" He said with a shrug, hoping she didn't all to show or for anymore information about his own power. "You've always been able to do that?"
Kala shook her head. "I had to practice for a year until i gained control of my power," she said and moved conner a bit to the left for a demonstration.
Conner nodded. "You've probably got much better control with your powers as well, looking at your age" He said with a chuckle, looking at himself. "You wouldn't think that a 18 year old has much power" he said, stopping there, in fear that if he was to go on, she would ask him more about his power.
"Some do," she said, shrugging. "What is yours?"
Conner looked to the floor. "I mean, its a mix of things. I've got the ability to shape shift into a fox, yet I have the foxes senses normally" He said. "Like for example, I can hear you stomach growling" He said with a chuckle. "Yet because of my age, my powers and abilities are a little less out of my control. Basically they're weaker than others".
((You wouldn't mind if Conner shifts into his dark form, and fights Kala?))
