This town is empty

Brea followed Derrick into a town, but this town was empty.

Derrick then cussed and sighed and said"Sorry for shooting you and that was close."

"It's ok. You had to shoot me. Anyways, you also healed me."

Derrick laughed and said,"yeah I had to but what's up with your powers"

"I'm not quite sure," Brea scrunched up her face,"ever since I met you, my powers haven't been working the way they should."

"Could my healing powers be interfering with you powers?" Asked Derrick

"I don't know, I guess I might just be out of practice."

Derrick chuckled and said,"Maybe but one thing I know is that we need your powers to work"

"Yeah, I do need my powers to work."

'They've worked until I met you. I still don't get it," Brea muttered.

Weird muttered Derrick

Brea shook her head, confused.

Derrick then declared," enough of this Greek philosophy we need to find food"

Brea smiled, relieved to stop thinking about her powers, "unless we want to die"

Derrick laughed and said,"I don't have a death wish but what should we do to find food because I'm not walking into another restaurant after that near death experience"

"Well this town is empty, maybe there is food in some houses or something."

"So do you want to check them?" Asked Derrick.

"Yeah"

"Ladies first" said Derrick laughing

"Fine, if I have to" she said smiling as she walked into a small house.

"It smells" Derrick said has they searched for food in the house

Brea walked into the kitchen of the house, ignoring the smell. She searched the cupboards... Nothing...

"We could hunt for a rabbit but I'm not much of hunter" said Derrick sighing he then said,"are we going to have to search every single house"

" there's no harm in searching the houses." Brea shrugged.

"Your right I'll just never look at a house the same way after opening so many cabinets" said Derrick Sarcastically

Brea smiled at his sarcasm, "I can do it myself if you want. You could like, make a fire or something."

"Absolutely not" said Derrick smiling,"what if a zombie attacks you in one of those house"

"Yeah like that would happen," she said, still smiling. "Since you don't want to look at cabinets weirdly, why don't you go do some 'manly thing' like, I don't know, sit and stare?" Brea said mockingly.

"No absolutely not!" Declared Derrick,"let's finish this now before I decide to run away"

"Fine. Let's make this fun though, not boring. Race yah."she said bolting to the nearest house.

"Not far" screamed Derrick bolting after her

Brea ran into the house,turned a corner, found the kitchen and ran faster to the cabinets.

Panting Derrick called out,"I'm out of shape we need a rematch"

"After I check the cabinets we can race to the next house." Brea checked a cabinet and found a cracker box, there was only two crackers in it though, "guess that race still stands."

Derrick called out,"already going there" as he raced to the next house

Brea followed after him.

Derrick opened each cabinet to his disappointment he found only one canned tuna he then called out to Brea,"Ha, I found a tuna can"

Brea stuck out her tongue and ran to the next house. "I shall beat you! I shall find more food!" She declared, yelling as she ran.

"Not I have a say" said Derrick racing after her

Brea continued on, finding the next kitchen and consequently finding a can with a pop off top filled with olives.

"Lucky" said Wilson as he raced to the next house

Brea ran after, wondering if their luck would continue.

Derrick raced into the next house but tripped on a worn out carpet

Brea stopped. "You okay?"

Derrick wincing got up and said," Never better but you forgot that u can heal myself" he then raced to the kitchen

Brea raced after him.

Derrick then arrives in the kitchen and proceeded to open every cabin but to his disappointment found only a bag of tortillas chip full of mold then he said,"I have no luck"

"So we have olives, tuna and two chips.. That seems like enough to eat as a meal, right? Or should we continue searching?"

"Continue searching" said Eric," smiling I still have to beat you."

"Alright I'll let you get a head start since I'm obviously faster." She joked.
