So he cut his wrists to bleed out, and when Maeve finds him, she calls her doctor friend to the location rather than bringing him to a hospital? Just trying to get things straightened out. Since they are actually friends of some nature or another, guilt could be used to sway her most likely. So the distraughtness of Maeve would be enough to make Holland help him even if she doesn't really believe in saving those who don't want to be helped. Actually, I should probably ask, how long ago was this? *beings searching through his history to find out it wasn't long ago*

For the parent killing collab, it would be about six years ago :). I'd love to hear your ideas first, actually, if you don't mind. You have a pretty awesome imagination.

Probably only a year or so again at most. Lycus is also about as emotionally unstable as well. Maybe Maeve also lied that he would totally be cheery the next day? With his moodswings, maybe it sort of was? He'd have been cheerier in the few years before that had happened, so maybe at the time it would have been more believable?

Aha. I knew it had happened when one was fifteen, but I got which one backwards. I have a character on the city council, Nyco Drake Voclain, who might have manipulated someone else into doing it because (as you'd suggested) she was a genius, and the city council likes collecting geniuses. But maybe the other person would not have known she was manipulating them and they would have had other reasons for doing it? Maybe revenge for something or a paying of debts? I'm also okay doing something else, too. This was just a thought.

Oh! I know! We could say Maeve went a bit of a manipulative route when Holland refused to save someone who wanted to die. Maeve could say something along the lines of 'h--his sister, what about her? If this was your brother, you wouldn't care if he did this to himself or not. You'd save him. Save him for her." That'd probably get her to do it :). Would that be okay?


So, would we be playing with the idea that Nyco Drake had managed to find out that Mary, the mother, wasn't the researcher behind the experiments they stumbled upon? She managed to get a hold of the truth and had the parents killed in order to somehow get closer to getting Holland in their collection of smartness?



My original thought was that the resistance had someone kill them because they were worried Mary would get bullied into working for the council and creating game changing medicine for the council. So they cut that possibility off before it had any chance to form. Plus, it's easier to get rid of someone before the council takes them under their wing, so to speak. Less eyes watching.

Maeve would totally do that. She's told Lycus she'd leave him alone if they had sex before and then not done that, so I would definitely not put it past her.

We could. But I now got ideas off what you were saying, more than what I had off mine. Resistance twelve years ago. Definitely would make a new character for that then. Maybe the man later got killed by Lorin and his mom as they were going and killing off resistance members. But maybe the guy had a son who knew about it, so now the son has seen what Holland's managed and wants both her gone and maybe Lorin gone?

Or maybe it got blamed on him [Lorin] and his mom since he'd already been captured since that probably was not common knowledge? Or if it was, maybe he was blamed because it was known Hadley the police had saved his neck? But maybe then it was found out by Nyco Drake and she'd actually ordered the guy's death because she'd totally do that and/or do it herself?

Alrighty, then we could go that route for how Maeve talks her into helping save Lycus :).

So much in so few sentences! Lol. I think I got a hold on what you were suggesting. Goodness Lorin had a ton of history. I glanced through it. His mother actually died a year before Mary and Kyle Shepard, so she wouldn't have bene able to help kill the hit guy off.

So hey! What if the guy wasn't a completely awful person, more of a resistance member who wants to remove the council to make way for a cleaner future. He was informed that Mary Shepard's concealed research could b dangerous if it got in the hands of the council. They told him to kill Mary and any witnesses. So he killed the father, knowing he would wake up and cause trouble. But he didn't kill Holland since he still had a heart under it all.

As the years pass, rumors begin to rise that Holland either was the brains behind the research they had Mary killed for or that the daughter was following in the mother's foot prints. But Holland hadn't agreed to work for the council. So she became sorta a potentially dangerous variable for both sides. The debate to get rid of her began, and the guy wasn't exactly happy with the idea of killing Holland simply because she was doing research--research that wasn't being used against the resistance or being used for the council. Rather, she was a neutral player.

So he decides to keep an eye on her. Then when a target was set on her head, in the heat of the moment, he interjects, saving her life but getting hurt himself. she ends up saving his life considering it was the least she could do since he had saved her.

Of course, this would mean he sorta went against whoever had ordered her dead. If it was the resistance, then he had basically turned his back on them in a way. So those he fought along side with may not be so happy with him.

Holland and him could end up becoming friends. The dark truth of how he killed her parents loomed in the back of his mind, guilt sorta eating at him.

*stops and blinks, realizing I basically wrote a whole story out*

Erm...so...opinions so far? I was thinking he could have been around twenty-one or two when he had killed her parents. And possibly, if you are interested, it being a possible romantic thing at some point--until the truths end up coming out. Then shit sorta hits the fan all over again.

I added a little explanation to it to make it work because numbers finally happened in my head. The ironic part of that is that I'm doing calculus as I say this.

I love your idea! Maybe we could combine the two ideas. Like maybe it was a father and a son team (maybe the father and son doing the planning together, but the son actually pulling it off because the dad was not physically capable of it?) who killed her parents, and maybe it was the dad that got killed, and the son got away scotch free and then he interjects when the resistance decides to kill her and such? It'd be kind of interesting if we ended up having Lycus be the one who actually ordered her death Anyway, whether or not you like my input, I am more than willing to do it. Do you have preferred faceclaim for him?

I wish goodreads had an auto refresh sorta thing where when a comment is made while we are writing a comment, the other comment shows up :/. I saw you fixed it afterwards and was just like "ah...well I guess I'll just wait to see what Elf says back."

I like the idea of the father having helped plan it with his son and his son having pulled it off for whatever reason! It could have been the father was either unable to do it, or maybe it was the son's first sorta 'alone' mission his father let him do. *shrugs* up to you on that part! Then--then the father could so be killed by them and and and-- :D. I'm a bit excited, as you can see, lol.

hm...well, I could easy hunt some faces down. But I'd rather see some faces you thing would fit the image of him you're getting since you're going to be his creator in the end :D. I could pick from a couple of faces you think fit? Or if you want, I could hunt down some and let you see if you like any. Whatever you want to do, really :).


Oh! So, hey, since everything is going to fall apart for the city at some point, maybe we could even consider these two, Wes, and maybe a few other characters who have a similar idea of how the city should function get together and start trying to actually change things. Just a possible thought :D.

Yes! So maybe it was sort of a combo of both. Like maybe it was his first solo mission because the father got injured during their previous mission and such? And so maybe they'd planned on it being his first solo mission soon but then the injury forced the issue?

I'm probably leaning towards either Finn Jones or Ezra Miller. Do you have a preference either or a preference for someone not on my list? I need another male to even out the gender ration between male and female on my list

And yeah, that makes sense. I think we were thinking of having that sort of thing. Though the outside will be available after the wall falls at the war's end. So maybe some people stay and remake the city like that and others leave to explore outside?

That's pretty much my only complaint to! Other than that, things are pretty well set up.

As for the walls part, I like the idea that some stay and some go. We can see which they all do when it gets closer to that, I suppose :D. Wes would want to rebuild there, but Holland may lean towards wanting to go outside the walls for the sake of discovery.

*looks up androgynous* Oh! That makes sense! I def lean towards the 'manlier' looking guys. I tried to search for a sorta inbetween look for the one I suggested, which I quite possibly failed. My original thought was Luke Mitchell, but he has been claimed.

Basically I am not romantically or sexually attracted to people. I might be attracted to people's minds, but I'm leaning towards aromantic bigtime. Grey-a means attracted sexually but not interest (in my case absolutely no interest) in pursuing anything with it, and I find some women and then the androgynous appearance to be a lot more attractive than a highly "masculine" appearance. Basically I am very not "straight."

I figured. I think Anton Yelchin is the most masculine one I have on my list. Maybe him?

At least you have a good hold on what you're attracted to and embrace it :D. You explained it pretty well. My usual view of it is 'people like who they like, end of story.' So, as I've said, I'm very dumb to everything outside of the obvious.

Out of curiosity, I searched all the face claims you had listed that were male and like one of them I could see me being like 'yeah, I'd go for that.' and one I was like 'he'd work.' Naturally, you've used them both lol. It's amazing how different people are.

I think that's a lot of us. I can plan out a whole mother effen story and end up not writing but like three chapters for it. It's an annoyance, sorta. I would love to, but Flynn and Lorin are both in use. But I do have both of my council members, Nyco Drake and Evander, and Val available. I am also most of the way through another character by the name of Siersha. Bramble, my character for our collab, will be the next I will work on.

Meh, not too awful except the stress of the test (which I had missed because I was out). Cool! I know Tinath and KT watch Gotham, too. I haven't watched it though.

How'd the tests go? You should watch it :D. I think you'd like it. The enviorment they live in, it's got similar aspects to this rp in my opinion. This rp is a little more violent, obviously, but Gotham has a lot of crime, currption and shit going on.

Nah, not really. There's not really magic in it thus far. There's biological stuff, like medicine and drugs, that can cause some effects, but nothing magical. The 'heros' in it are more like vigilantes. For instance, someone decided to clean up the city by cuffing the 'bad' people to weather balloons so they would float up, eventually reaching a point the balloon would freeze, possibly the person to, and then the balloon would pop, dropping the person to their death if not already dead from the cold. :). I thought it would be superhero-y because of batman, but so far, no. Just some twisted ass shit that's awesome.

Okay then. I draw the line at superheroes.

I'm similar. My boyfriend has been watching The Flash, and gods do I hate it. But I blame it mainly on the poor writing and acting.

I have seen a bunch of random episodes because my dad and his wife watch it, so I see episodes if they watch it while I'm there, but they also watch it when I'm not, so I don’t see all of them.

Well. I am very exhausted for no actual reason. I finished a character and a redo of a character, so that's good. I know what I want to do for the first part of Bramble's history.

Congrats on your redo of Nyco Drake! She looks amazing :D. I read what you have of his history so far! It's such an interesting background :D. It's amazing to see the shadow who killed Holland and Wes's parents coming to live. He was just this black figure, but now he's got this whole story unfolding :D.

Considering my somewhat notorious dislike of superheroes, I fully intend to continue refusing to watch it.

Favorite shows: Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Musketeers, Merlin, Sherlock, Torchwood (seasons 1-3), Supernatural (seasons 1-5). I definitely favor the first four, but not in that order (Game of Thrones is by far the favorite).

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with my redo. My original was a quick thing just so I could have a character right from the beginning, so this is much better.

I think I have what I want to have happen up until he's seventeen figured out. There's a few things from there I have to work out. Like which dad dies, what happens to some of the siblings, why Bramble stays with the remaining dad, etc. Lots of details like that, you know? It's one of they things I love about role playing -- getting to see so many sides of every story.
