LOL! Hello!!!!! I didn't see you there Sallie - It's so dark in these woods, I thought I was the only one here so far... Mind if I share your wolf protection until the others arrive?
Hi ladies. Sorry I have been running around and now I have company. RL always knows how to walk in when I'm free LOL I hope everyone is excited to start. I know I am. :)
True - RL is rarely as accommodating as I would like it to be! HaHa!I'm super excited for this challenge and can't wait to get the show on the road!
LOVE OUR TEAM NAME TOO!
Hi all! I'm super excited to be in Team Artemis with you all. :-)Can someone tell me why the start is still 18+ DAYS away? :'(

Because we need time to find new ways of torture :D

ARGH!!!!!!!!
lol j/k ;-)
So where is everyone from? Or rather, in what part of the world will you be reading?I'm in Tucson, Arizona, which doesn't follow Daylight Savings time, so currently we're the same as California/Oregon/Washington: U.S. West Coast Time.
But once the time changes for just about everyone else in November, I'll be on Mountain Time. ;-)
EDIT/UPDATE: When I sent out friend requests to everyone, it looked like most of us are in the U.S. Anybody outside of it?
Delta wrote: "I'm in Dallas, Texas. Not too far from you, Jen."You're right, Dallas is only about 16 or so hours from me. :-)
I drove through Dallas a couple of weeks ago. I was on a road trip to northeast Oklahoma and, on the way home, drove down to just south of Houston to visit a childhood friend before driving home. If I remember correctly, I drove through Dallas on the way from Oklahoma to Houston. :-)

Team name is AWESOME!!
I'm in Indiana - we follow eastern standard time which always seems weird to me since we're more centrally located in the US.
I'll post them all to one of the reserved spots. Hopefully your names are linked to your profile and then I'll find yiur shelf and post them in.
K~Terror wrote: "It'll be weird for me to have teamies with similiar time zones! Haha!"So true. Towards the end of the GG it was crazy but also useful to have people from all over because while a certain group of people slept the others updated the spreadsheets. So its pretty helpful :)
I just sent friend requests too. It looks like we have had all but 2 check in so far on our team. Pretty good for day 1. :D
K~Terror wrote: "I just sent friend requests too. It looks like we have had all but 2 check in so far on our team. Pretty good for day 1. :D"I think we're missing 3, which is still good. At least we aren't missing everyone LOL
Ebony wrote: "Hey everyone. I'm excited for this new challenge! I'm located in central New Jersey :)"Hi Ebony :)
K~Terror wrote: "NOW there's just 2 left... ;)"LOL yup and I'm waiting for my friend request to go through so that I can add Peyton's shelf to the list :)
Hi all! It's nice to meet everyone. I think I've seen some of you in other topics and/or other groups, but it will be fun to get to know everyone better. :-)Has anyone started picking out books to read? I don't really understand why we would do this, since the start date is still just under three weeks away. As I understand it, just about any book can count, so long as it's above 100 pages and not a graphic novel. Is that right?
Hi Jen. I've seen you in the group Paranormal Kickass Chicks :) and yes the books have to be 100 pages or over and if it's a children's book 25,000 or over. I added a link in post 7 just in case anyone needed to go over the rules. I don't normally pick out books unless I know I'm going to be reading it next month but I have been looking just in case LOL

Thanks for confirming the challenge rules. Regarding picking books, I never plan books for challenges. I usually just read what I'm in the mood to read and figure out if any of them fit a challenge after I've read them. ;-)
Though sometimes I will read a BoM, in which case I try to get it from the library for a given month. ;-)

Hi Team!
I'm Sonia, the greek mentor. Meaning, I'm the mod to go when you need something. I'm in the Poseidon thread, but you can also PM me or use the Greek Team Issues thread on the captains group.
I hope you enjoy the challenge. We still have almost 3 weeks till start date, but since these things tend to get a lot of preparation, we're trying to work all details out of the way till there.
Have fun!
Hi Sonia! Thanks to you and the other Mods for all the hard work you ladies do and can't wait for the fun to start :)
Jen I tend to do the BoM too. It's fun seeing others opinion on a book. I always try to get my books from the library too or from Overdrive. Book buying can be an expense hobby :) I love PKC too. There is a lot of fun things there but also the people too :)

It's rare that I can both get the BOM and be in the right mood to read it.
September was a banner month for me, as far as books of the month go. I read both of PKC's and the one for another of my groups. So I felt pretty proud of myself for that. lol
