I read this book last year and thought it served its purpose well enough. I knew a bit about Alix, but not much about the others, so this was a start. It was a bit confusing, so my rating is 3 stars. I'm hoping more of Gelardi's stuff will show up in my local library system, but I don't know of any others yet.

Leigh | 16 comments I read it a while back and remember enjoying it for the most part, but I might read it again as a refresher. She also wrote two other books, one about three Grand Duchesses, Dowager Empress Marie was one I think. The third book was royal mothers and daughters Queen Victoria, Queen Isabella of Spain and their daughters and Marie Antoinette and her mother. That was her weakest book, I had a tough time getting through it. I can't for the life of me remember the titles though. Sorry for the long message.
