books turned into films discussion

Ok so i started reading the Sookie Stackouse series a little while ago (in fact i just finished book 7) and now i really want to see the TV series True Blood but as always i worry that they won't have kept it close enough to the books and i will be dissapointed.

Has anyone seen the series yet? If you have can you tell me if they have kept it pretty close?

Yeah they are, i'm really enjoying them. They are funny, plus they have tho whole human girl vampire guy love thing. And they also have more than just Vampires, so there is Were's/Shifters/Fairies etc.

I would definitely recommend them.

Ok so now i've seen season 1 of the TV series True Blood and i have to say i'm a bit dissapointed with the series, they changed a fair amount of it including entire characters. I guess i'll just have to try a seperate the two in my head and consider them two completely different things.
