Java Davis (javadavis) Deanna, what was the turning point for you when you knew you were viable in the marketplace?

Hi Java,

This answer is long overdue and I apologize for that. I hope you will still find the answer helpful.

It wasn't until I published my fifth book that I was able to see my writing career was going someplace. Before that, sales would trickle in, but after the fifth book was out, the sales increased. I no longer felt like a newbie - I was an author. Now, ten books later, I really see the difference. It's true what the accomplished authors say - you have to just keep writing and get books out there and then you'll see a difference. That happened to me. With each new book, I saw my sales rise. It was fun to see and felt so good after working so hard.

That was how Lake Union Publishing found me. My books were doing well and they were especially interested in Maggie's Turn. They purchased it in December 2014 and it will be re-released on July 14, 2015 under their label. It's an amazing new chapter in my publishing career, and I look forward to the future.
