Shit I should have joined this BR. My book club just made this book of the week. I didn't see that coming.

I asked to be added. Funny thing is that I wasn't even sure if I wanted to read this. I skipped over all the Simon Snow parts in Fangirl. I just wanted to get back to the actual story. So I had no interest in reading this book. But then my book club made this book of the week and plus it was made into a BR in this group so I figure that is just the universe telling me I have to read this book. And who am I to ignore the calling of the universe?

I'm at 54% and really enjoying it. But I think the audiobook is helping with my enjoyment. I'll probably finish today since I don't want to stop listening.

Finished! I really enjoyed it. More than I thought I would. I loved Baz and Simon together. I just wish we got a little more than kisses!

I'm on chapter 20 so far. it's a pretty fast read. it did start off a bit messy for my liking but i generally enjoy rainbow rowell books so I'm hoping for more cohesion throughout. the veil portion does intrigue me and I'm looking forward to how it all plays out in the end!

thank goodness I'm in my phone and not on my laptop. the spoilers don't open whatsoever on my phone. I'd be tempted to read what you've written. I'm currently on ch 60 so I can't wait to read your spoiler tags :) I'm glad the story seems to have leveled out some and that the author has gained a bit more focus.

I'm about halfway through Ch. 36 and I have to say, I'm enjoying this. I really like the narrator. Maybe it's just the accent, lol. I'm also a little confused on a couple of things but I think it'll work itself out... I hope!

Imagine this- I'm working in my office counting money all by my lonesome while my Boss talks with his Boss in the outer office. And suddenly the crazy lady in there busts out laughing for no apparent reason... *red faced* But that bit about the magical belt buckle was too funny!

I was not expecting Baz to be in love with Simon, lol. Wonder how that will work out for them... :P And it seems to me like Simon is in love with Penny.

LOL! I really don't think there is much background that you missed in Fangirl - or maybe it's just me and my poor memory. The info is very high level ~ there's a HP fanfiction story and the MC is Simon Snow...

Again, maybe it's just my memory...

No don't worry Kristin- pretty much the only thing I remember about the story from Fangirl is the 'tension' between Simon and Baz and a few other details. Even that is surprising!
I don't know how you retain any info with ALL those books you read- I'm impressed!!
