Firstly - Anomander Rake. At the end of Book 3, I just have this foreboding at the ENDING that everyone was talking about in their reviews had to be something Rake is going to do. My speculation even before I got to this part was that it is something to do with Dragnipur (since we've been seeing scenes here) and getting Mother Dark to once again accept her children. As long as I took to get to the halfway mark of this book - there is no stopping the pages from turning now.

Secondly, the army of the dead! Whiskeyjack, Toc and Brukhalian - I have no words to describe how I felt.
