The last song, Nicholas sparks; my response to this story is that it is really good for a certain age group and that it is a drama. I really liked this book because it has a lot of hurt and hard problems in the book between the daughter and dad mostly but there are a lot of good and happy moments to the story. I cried when I read the story it was hard to picture what the daughter and dad was going through and how they got closer throughout the story. I seen the movie to but it is not as could as the book the book has more details to it.

The main conflict is about how the kids Ronnie and her brother go to visit there dad in the summer, the daughter don’t want to go see her dad because they had problems before they went. She would not listen or talk to him; she don’t tell him anything about her life until the church burnt down and they couldn’t figure out what happened or what caused it or who caused it. The boy Ronnie was with him and his friend burnt the church down and he told her and she didn’t want to be with him after he told her. When they found out about the church the daughter and dad grew closer together and when he got sick it broke her heart and at the end when they had to go home with her mom but she choose to stay with him to look after him after he got out. The part I cried at when they made something to go in the window of the church so when he got out they took him to the church after they had it done and it was sad and happy times and how they grow closer.

My opinion about this book is that it was fantastic and I loved it made me so happy to read it and I kind of react to it because me and my dad didn’t get along till little after I went and seen him. The story could relate to a lot of peoples life and that is why I liked it so much it explained a lot and made since and how the daughter and grow closer made more realistic in my mind. I cried when it got close to the end because the son wanted to stay but couldn’t it broke my heart. When you can think and put yourself in that position of a book is good I watch the movie all the time and I read this story more than once and still makes me cry every time I think you should read it if you like drama and action and sad story’s that relate to you in a way it did me.

I actually watched the movie and never had a chance to read the book. I would love to read the book because it is the kind of book I'm interested. The beginning was tough but I like how it took time through the book to have a happy ending.
