Jenny (pagelady) | 155 comments Originally written in Yiddish, then translated into French. Finally, Night is in English. I even found the newer edition, in which Wiesel's wife translated the story a second time, more accurately than the first English translation. This edition also included his acceptance speech when he received the Nobel Peace prize. Wow. A few things in this author's experience I had never read before about the Holocaust atrocities. I am astounded at the human will to survive.

Jody (jodybell) | 531 comments I read this for another category (the same translation at you, I think) - I actually bought the book while I was visiting the Dachau concentration camp. It was incredible, and so well written. I just find human beings so hard to understand sometimes. Both the bad and the good.
