Hi Keri,In chronological order ;)
* Maddox's SQPR series
* Steven Saylor's Gordianus the Finder series
* Lindsey Davis' Marcus Didius Falco series and Flavia Alba series
* Rosemary Rowe's Libertus series
* Reed and Mayer's John the Lord Chamberlain
* Ellis Peter's Brother Cadfael series
* Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose (ha! one entry that's not a series!)
* Boris Akunin's Fandorin Series
Why? Because they are all pretty awesome. I'd particularly like to see Fandorin get more exposure in the West. The series is absolutely bloody brilliant. Set in late 19th century / early 20th Russia, each novel is done in a particular style of mystery novels.
Cheers, Assaph
ps. Of course, I'd also like to see my own novel on the bookshelf because, y'know, it too is awesome ;-) But I'll leave that nomination to someone else.
Thanks for the great suggestions. I put two of them for now and will look over the others later. This way it will help me pick new books to read.
