Ellinor (1001andmore) My fourth and lowest climb so far. I hope too at least make it this far and then move on to the next mountain.

Like War and Peace! Congrats on finishing that large book!

Ellinor (1001andmore) Thanks! I'm really glad that I finally finished it. It's a good book but after a while you just want to read something else again.

Good for you conquering War & Peace! That's one classic I just don't think I'm going to get around to....

Ellinor (1001andmore) I'm a lot behind schedule this year. After finishing War and Peace I needed some light reading and so I borrowed several books from the library.
But I did some serious sorting out. I gave away several unread volumes and I went through my tbr list here on Goodreads and especially my wishlist. I removed almost 3,000(!) books from my shelves. Now this whole business looks slightly more manageble!

Wow, 3000 books!! That would be over 10 years worth of reading for me!

As for the schedule, I am impressed by how much you have read with a (fairly new) baby. You have reached Pike's Peak so even if you don't make Mt. Vancouver, you have made it to one summit :)

I just kept adding everything that sounded interesting. When I went through the list there were masses of books I had no idea I had been planning to read, let alone why I had added them.
My son's almost 13 months old and I'm using every free moment for reading. We take lots of long walks and I listen to audiobooks while he's sleeping in his pram.

Ah, I try to keep my to-read shelf here under 300 books (but I am also trying to read the Guardian's list of 1000 novels so my true TBR is more like 1500!) :P

On my to read shelf here there are all the books I own plus several others... I'm a little list-obsessed and try to read my way through the Guardian's list as well plus through the 1001 list (but there's an overlap of about 500 books so it's not as bad as ot sounds) pöus through the 1001 children's book list. So I shouldn't run out of reading material too soon :)
