For classification; This is where your characters come in

You are a grandson or granddaughter of one of these fairy tales. You bear a curse, in which if not broken by the full-moon following your 21st birthday, will become your demise. You were raised on Earth, clueless of your bloodline, until you retrieve a letter summoning you to Tall-Tale Island, in the center of the Bermuda triangle. It is only here that the curse can be broken. But hurry, for time is running out. And if you aren’t careful you could be the next to fall.

How old does the character have to be? I'm guessing 20, for the time to be running out.. But idk..

the age limitations are from approximately ten years old to 21 years old, however, bare in mind if they do not break their curse by the full moon after their birthday they will die.

though those limits may change depending on what Silver say

Can I use my own template?

As long as it has all the required information, than yes.

So are the curses/gifts with them right from birth?

Yes, only they probably won't figure out about them until later in their life/when they receive the letter.

though I would think some of the more obvious ones or ones that directly affect their life would at least give them an indication they aren't normal XD

How frequent do reminders have to be, and how much of their memories can slip away?

Hmm...I don't know for certain as Silverlight made it up, so she should prolly be the one to answer it >~< I could take a guess but idk if it would be right or not

How many characters can you claim.

There's no specific limit, but it might not hurt to keep the amount you claim small so that any new members will still be able to participate in the roleplay if they join later on, ya know?

and by later on I mean between now and whenever we end up adding more curses and gifts

The memories begin to fade within hours, starting with them forgetting smaller details, proceeding to have gaps in the memory, and then unable to recall it after a few days time, without something to retrigger the memory. It's primarily the long-term memory that fades; Their short-term isn't as prone to it, so they could somewhat recall action and such from a single day, with some strain.

The descendants grew up in the human world, therefor asides from their own abilities and curses, they would grow up clueless towards other 'magic'. Where as the island has some elements of magic, it's not really noticeable. So no, magic isn't considered entirely normal.

The point of the group isn't really to break the curse; There isn't a set way in doing so. But, while a character made look for a way, actually breaking a curse required permission from a mod.

Yes I get that, but the whole break the curse your your twenty first year or die, do the characters know of this death sentence? Sure they'll presumably have years during which they get accustomed to or endure their curses and come to terms with it.

Yes, upon being invited or arriving onto the island, they would have been told of this portion of the curse. Prior to the island, they most likely didn't know of the death portion of the curses.

Ah OK, but given that magic is not normal in the world, they'd probably be affected by the strange things happening to them or that they were capable of.

May I ask, exactly how bad is the curse for a descendent of Anastasia?

Seems like one of the worst curses, but that's part of the fun, also, what happens with taking a memory from someone else? Mind explaining that to me?

Lol yeah XD i had to refrain from making one myself for just that reason

By the way, is there a time limit on the claims? I didn't check but it looks like not all claimed characters have been made

And no, we dont have a time limit for claims. If someone were to claim someone and not make them after several weeks we would probably message them about the claim, depending on if we knew they were on hiatus or something similar

Do you mean Snow-White, or someone from the Snow-Queen story?

There's a Snow-White grandson available

For the Snow-Queen story; We have Gerda and Kia who both have descendants available

But when not the Snow Queen herself... can Kia decent have atlas some form of ice powers if not?

We have not yet added ths actaul Snow Queen. There are a few descendents with powers relating to ice and the cold. I recommend you view the thread "gift/curses" to see which you like.

As for characters that are not present; the other mods and I are working on additional claims.

Erm, I suppose she can somewhat sense memories. Not neccissarily know every detail, but have a sixth sense about them.
