SFF Readalongs led by Kitty G discussion

Hi Everyone,
So as november is a Fantasy Month it means December is a Sci-Fi one, please leave all of your Sci-Fi suggestions below :)
I am planning already to read Caliban's War but I know not everyone took part in the first book readalong so that's only an option if you all want it to be. Feel free to suggest any first book in a series/standalone/next book in a series we have already started and hopefully you'll all come up with some more fabulous choices!

i have been wanting to start Dune for ages, but for some reason it never makes it past the poll... perhaps this time.
(i have already read Caliban's War, but if i hadnt i would totaly go for it. its amazing!! i gave Leviathan Wakes 5 stars, and the second was soooo much better!!)

Dune and Caliban's War are both really good choices! I've already read Caliban's War earlier this year but shadowing the read along would be cool :) That being said, it's been probably a decade since I read Dune and it would be fun to re-visit it and see if my impressions of it have changed.

Yessssss Dune! It's a shame that I somehow haven't read it yet. I would love to read it with this group.
