Phil Jackson claims it's easier and more enjoyable to create a team and culture of excellence than it is to sustain it. Dorrance (in all his books, videos, speeches, etc.) seems to deny that claim. Somehow he's remained true to himself, true to the process and true to his passion for UNC soccer. Is it valid that it may be easier to create/build than sustain something, or is it easier to sustain once it's built? It would seem one involves energy, foresight and newness while the other involves plain old rigor mixed with devotion and discipline?
