Dyed and Gone is set in Las Vegas. Do you have a What Happened in Vegas story you'd like to share?

I'll start... My What Happened in Vegas story starts with Mr Y and I being invited to stand up for our friends at their Las Vegas wedding. We had gone out for a little over 2 years and then broke up. We were still broken up when we went to Vegas. Long story short...we didn't come home broken up and we got married 3 months later (but not in Vegas). And now here we are almost 22 years later. Thanks Vegas!

That's a great story! I once set a book in Vegas, but halfway through I knew I didn't know enough about the city to write the book. So I called my travel agent and she attached me to a group going to Vegas, to get me cheap hotel and airfares. It was so funny to be connected to people I didn't know for a flight out and a flight home! LOL

They were a riot -- Midwesterners! LOL

We *ahem* frequent Las Vegas. My favorite Vegas story was one night we were coming back to our hotel about 2 a.m., walking through the tunnel over the sidewalk where they were doing construct on the Imperial Palace (which is now The Quad, I think). Well I was...wound up, so I started singing "Low" which is a somewhat dirty song. This huge group of guys passing us going the other direction spontaneously picked up singing it. It was so cool! (Maybe you had to be there.) My next book has the hero and heroine meeting in Vegas, but they are only there one night.

That does sound cool, MJ. I wish I could've been there.

I've been to Vegas twice. Once when I was too young to drink or gamble and once when I was old enough to do both and also old enough to know better.

The second time was way more fun!
